Im still down 12 lbs.. Once the weather breaks i need to emeril !!!! BAM Kick it up a notch !!!!
My wife is also joining me. The challenge for me is the late night snacks. I am a late eater... I am trying to drink more water and I have cut back on soda a lot as well as junk food.
The Lord has already told me that my natural bodyweight is between 238-245 so thats what I need to shoot for.

cutting back on those sugars will be "key" to your weight loss and healthy dieting. Also if you are going to run the best time to do it is EARLY in the morning before eating...then depending on your desired weight loss... eat between 1800 and 2200 calories per day... and by the summer time you will look like Denzel..LOL

Hey Guys, My weight has been a thorn in my side ever since i got to college. I'm like a Janet Jackson with my weight lose and gains... They are never small it's always big. But this years I'm going to lose it all and keep it off for the rest of my life.
So far I have lost about 20 lb since sept. My goal is to lose. A WHOLE LOT MORE.
But I think the difference this time will be 2 things... One in the times before I took my weight lost into my own hands and did it by "my own strength". This time I'm really committing it to prayer. I know that I still have to work hard on my own to get rid of the weight. But I most definitely need God help in keeping it off.
I'm a stress eater... If anyone wants to know how my life has been going all they have to do is look at my weight. I think I gained the most when my father died... I lost that weight then gained some more when I was facing problems dealing with my family and the IRS...
The other factor that I think I will help me get rid of weight and keep it off is weight lifting... I always did it lightly before... But I thik if I have more muscle that will help my weight lose to remain stable during those time periods when i get to busy to go to the gym... I'm going to try Brent Phillip's Fit for Life program.
Oh and lastly... I came to terms with this thought... I will have to excercise at least 4 times a week, without fail... for the rest of my life. Period.
I realized that when I was young and my weight was never an issue I was extremely active. I was training for ballet 4 days a week, I had a regular gym class at school, I was a cheerleader and at some points in time I ran track and took judo.
Why on earth would I believe that I can turn around and become a couch potatoe and think my weight would stay the same?
That just doesn't happen...
Oh yeah... I joined a simply fabulous gym. I joined L.A. Fitness in bensalem, PA it is a pretty new club so I love it. I can get into a hot tub and enjoy a dry sauna. They have all classes I would think of trying including yoga. It's not cheap but hey...some people have cable... For me... that money went to me having a gym membership.

Prov 24:16 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity. I am going to keep getting up and keep fighting for my health and for my life. LOL at a fat Jesus hanging on the cross... If jesus was overweight they probably would have just rolled him off a cliff..LOL

It's not cheap but hey...some people have cable... For me... that money went to me having a gym membership. Kitty It helps to know where you need to be. The Lord told me in prayer where I need to be and simply put it is not within what is termed as the recommended guidelines for my height. The Lord said I designed your body to be between 238 and 245.. if you fall a lot below 238 you are doing too much and if you are over 245 you are getting to big. Interested I asked a doctor about the guidelines ( which say I should be like 202 lbs ) and he said if I you ever fell far below 230lbs you would probably be dizzy and unconcious a lot.. LOL.. Women in particular need healthy body images. If you are a 4 be a healthy 4. If you are an 8 be a healthy 8. If you are a 16 be a healthy 16. Be very very very wary of yoga. It has a lot of its roots in eastern mediation and stuff like that.

So Giants..what is your plan? Stop eatin.... No seriously.. a far more balanced diet. no white bread, reduced sugar, no cakes, pies cookies, no eating after 9pm ( i get home to late to eat earlier ). Much more vegatables and whole grains. Plenty of fiber. Less red meat ( I dont eat that much now anyway ). in fact I plan to start my day with fibre every day. it fills you up and cleans you out. More activity. I usually take the bus crosstown and then uptown. A few days last week I took the bus cross town but walked the last mile and a half home. If I feel hungry.. drink water...eat when you are really hungry.. not just cause you are bored.. eat smaller portions.. Eat Breakfast before I leave home.. Eat lunch at lunchtime.. Not at 3pm. light snack at a 4pm.. dinner around 8-9 water etc at night.. No sodas.. no candy.. I plan on joining a gym but dont have the money right now. I found one down the block thats only about 400 a year for NYC thats cheap... I want to use some machines and free weights.. And of course ride my bike..
