Drinking From My Saucer

I've never made a fortune and it's probably too late now, but I don't worry about that much I'm happy anyhow.

And as I go along life's way, I'm reaping better than I sow, I'm drinking from my saucer `cause my cup has overflowed.

Haven't got a lot of riches and sometimes the going's tough, but I've got loving one's around me and that makes me rich enough. I thank God for his blessings and the mercies he's bestowed, I'm drinking from my saucer `cause my cup has overflowed.

I remember times when things went wrong, my faith wore somewhat thin, but all at once the dark clouds broke and sun peeped through again.

So Lord, help me not to gripe about the tough rows that I've hoed, I'm drinking from my saucer `cause my cup has overflowed.

If God gives me strength and courage when the way grows steep and rough, I'll not ask for other blessings, I'm already blessed enough.

And may I never be too busy to help others bear their loads, then I'll keep drinking from my saucer `cause my cup has overflowed.

Seven Steps to Spiritual Freedom

RECOGNIZE- I recognize that I am not a victim of the world I see, but rather the inventor of my world. I recognize GOD as the SOURCE and the only way to spiritual freedom.
ASK- I ask GOD to help me, realizing that help is only beneficial to those willing to receive and obey instructions.
BELIEVE- I believe that GOD and I can do anything together, knowing that if I take a step out in faith and do not doubt, I shall have the desires of my heart.
FORGIVE- I forgive myself and other people, places and events, knowing that forgiveness frees me. I see only the perfection and love of Jesus Christ in all things, and I am blessed. Thank you GOD for forgiveness.
LOVE- I love GOD, myself and others unconditionally, recognizing that the power of love is all encompassing.
DECIDE- I decide to take responsibility for my life because I am the only one that can and must change my thoughts and feelings. I have absolut power to change my thoughts and feelings about myself and about my relationship with others. Thanks GOD!
GIVE THANKS- I give thanks to God for being the omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent Father who will never leave or forsake me. I am strengthened through HIS love.

Beware of your thoughts... They become your words.
Beware of your words... They become your actions.
Beware of your actions... They become your habits.
Beware of your habits... They become your character.
Beware of your character... It becomes your destiny.

Just A Closer Walk...

Dear God,

Please remind me that my days are numbered. Teach me that my time here in this life is precious so that I will not waste it. Help me to recognize how precious every moment is so that I spend it doing those things that will bring me closer to you. In the time I have left, please teach me how to serve you, Dear God.

Teach me how to give joyously, share willingly, and love totally. Remind me that I cannot serve in greed, doubt, fear, or anger. Fill my soul with your light, so those bountiful blessings will shine through my soul into the world. Each day that I awake, I pray that you will be present in my thoughts, my words, and all of my deeds.

I ask that every moment that I have left in this life is a channel through which some measure of your love and light may reach those with whom I come into contact.
Amen.

Thorns

Dear God,

I have never thanked you for my thorns. I have thanked you a thousand times for my roses, but never once for my thorns.

Teach me the glory of the cross I bear; teach me the value of my thorns. Show me that I have climbed closer to you along the path of pain. Show me that, through my tears, the colors of your rainbow look much more brilliant.
