C'mon Nikkol what kind of post is that? Just state your view instead of dangling it in front of us. Do you think that Leah was also out to trap Jacob?
I wouldnt put anything past those Old Testament characters. ;D

... And I am definitely looking forward to meeting you Like E.V. Hill used to say, talking about God "And you can't beat that!" Awesome... And mocha too? Beulah, you got it Nikkol, you can't just leave it at that... What would be another "male" point of view?

LOL.
I was just thinking. Is it possible that Leah had something to do with this? Was there any law that said that the oldest had to be married first? Or was it that Leah was a "daddy's girl" and therefore she told her daddy to say something in order to marry Jacob first. Additionally, why did she not say that she was "Leah"? We know that Jacob thought it was Rachel and could've been calling her that throughout the night whether in discussion, etc. Yet, she said nothing.
Maybe it was "her" plan that backfired. She thought that she was or could be better than her sister. Which is why when one felt more loved, she had something over the other sister.... but when the other started having children then the other sister had something over her. Sister rivalry. It became so bad that they told Jacob to also marry their "helpers" to try to beat each other.
SO could it be that Leah actually reaped what she had sown? That she was being deceitful and she thought that in spite of her deceit that things would be fine? Maybe she didn't think that Jacob would work another 7 years for Rachel. Maybe she thought that she had won...... just some thoughts
