This is, by far, the very best one I've ever received:
"Don't be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. That is the way the holy women of old made themselves beautiful."
(1 Peter 3:3-5 NLT)

I like to change my 'look' very often. At present i am reading Living Beauty by Bibbi Brown and it is very good. I love makeup-i am not a slave to it but i certainly do love it. I love micro dermabrasion and i use Estee Lauder products for my face wash. I also recently bought a cream by Benefit called: Touch me then try to Leave Me and it is making my skin so so soft Bronzer is a must and great lingerie even if u are single and a good footscrub. Regarding lipsticks you cannot go wrong with Christian Dior or Guerlain lipglosses and good old MAC. I hate seeing women not making an effort-dont get me wrong i am not saying that they should use make up far from that but women who just dont care about their appearance. Secondly women who want to look like men....i mean what on earth..... last but not the least : women who think that their lack of making an effort brings pleasure to God or imparts more holiness to them...

last but not the least : women who think that their lack of making an effort brings pleasure to God or imparts more holiness to them... Foolishness! But again - something my old church taught

Yesssssssss I love those things Especially bronzer and cute lingerie makes you feel good even though nobody else can see em. Plus having the proper bra, ohhhhh makes a whole lote of difference in your appearence........ Plus dont forget girdles, they are a girls best friend..LOL ;D

I agree. People often misinterpret scripture to say otherwise.

As a former beauty product junkie, who used to be one of those annoying sisters who wouldn't ever leave the house, and might not even answer the door, without fully done face and perfect hair, 1 Peter 3:3-5 just brought some much needed balance to my life. Now, I'm still all for, quite adept at, and get great pleasure from "beautifying a temple", especially mine, and no one could ever convince me of foolishness like homely=holy. Got myself a serious (discount) hookup with "Iman Cosmetics" and "Carol's Daughter" is like family to me. (And I'm definitely searching out that cream sista Bee recommends. ) But I've also learned that "whitewashing a tomb" ain't fooling nobody and will not ever make it truly beautiful.

Absolutely Keita,
I was one who wasn't a make up wearer. I still don't at times, but when I do I don't go overboard. I like a simple look. I Love bronzes and GLOSS...Hello Somebody...I am the GLOSS queen!!!
I stick to Mary Kay and some products by Mac. The best facial cleanser I have and DO continue to use is..the Good ole Phisoderm 3 in One cleanser.
My Motto: Keep it simple...True Beauty radiates from the inside out.
