I undestand Giant, I am unstable, double minded, I am terrible.......it does kind of increase the struggle when your health is failing you on top of everything else is going on, but I am really trying to deal with my situation the best I know how..... Is claiming defeat the best way? Is speaking negative over your situation the best way? You get stable by standing fully on the Word of God and stop allowing your situation dictate to you how you will think, act, respond and choose to live. You will always be challenged.. you will always have something to overcome. Health problems can be challenging... However I look at I disagreet pastor who goes to kidney dialysis three days a week , raises three children AND is in full time ministry along with her husband... The doctors wonder how she is able to do the things she does considering how " poor " her health is according to their estimation. This is the same person who 8 years ago when pregnant with her son was told you need to abort him because you could die giving birth because of her health problems and even if she didnt die the boy would be born with defects or retarded Well 8 years later that same extremely intelligent pefectly health boy stood up on New Years Eve and said his testimoy was that he is glad that his mother didnt listen to the doctors because then he wouldnt be here. Jessica here is the rub... she serves the SAME God you do. The difference is that she has learned to speak FAITH over her life no matter the situation... SPEAK FAITH... not your situation.. not your circimstances.. FAITH... I understand where you are coming from Giants, I know we are always going to have struggles and we are always going to have something to overcome..........My thing is right now is that everything happening all at once, and everytime you turn around something else happens....Im like is this ever going to end?

Well yes it will end. But the issue is not how quickly it comes too an end its how well you go through it. Yes I understand where you are coming from. I remember a time when I broke up with my fiance, lost my best job, had no unemployment money to collect to pay the biills, and seeming lost out on the promise of God in my life. But you know what.... I got to know God through that situation in a way I never knew HIM before. He didnt end my struggle, HE took me through it !!!

I am quickly approaching my 30's my health is failing my finaces is out of wack im homeless single/alone, that is just some of it.... It seems my life is going no where, I am at a dead end.... You know I should be at the prime of my life but instead it seems as though im already having a mid-life crisis. The Word of God John 16 21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. 22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. 23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. 25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. 26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. 28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. 29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. 30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. 31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? 32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. [/u] Phillippians 4 4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. 10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. [/u] 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. 15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. 16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. 17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 18But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Romans 8 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. II Corimthians 47 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body 11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. [/u] Hebrews 12 Amplified Bible ( and THIS is what everyone keeps telling you ) 1 THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, 2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [/u][giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.(A) 3 Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds. Here endeth the lesson

Jessica have you ever asked God what is the purpose of your life? If you did ask God what was the purpose for your life and received an answer please share what the answer is God gave you? Ive never got a clear answere on what my purpose is. I think that the Church has been so exposed to teachings like 'Finding my destiny' that it without accountability has raised unrealistc expectations one the part of the ordinary christian. I am 63 years old and I find that I can't even keep up with what I already know as far as Christs expection of me as a follower of Him that I do not have time to run around looking for 'my destiny'. Our interpretation of that is, run around and find a church or a people who will agree with my carnal interpretation of 'my destiny' What is telling is , these same folk come back later and admit that they were wrong in their interpretation for themselves and now they have a new 'revelation' for their lives and away they go again with their sheeples following them...no where. Go with what we know (from the word) and we won't get in trouble.

Just as a side not re purpose and what you said Kanyon. I do agree. However, we can say, in a more general meaning (not just personally) that there is a purpose for everything, and not necessarily remember - or remind ourselves - that not only is there a purpose but also a season.
So often - and it has been said here - in order for God's divine plan for our life to begin to manifest, many things need to happens "first", before we are ready to even begin to step into His plan, His purpose.
God is not playing or toying with us. Sometimes also, because some situations can be so overwhelming, we feel like nothing goes up, it's only us going down.... And it is a necessary transition, in order for things to be the way God meant for them to be when finally we can see better, and often it translates in what we call "losses". Sometimes people leave our life during that time, one way or another, and we have to learn how to be without them. Sometimes it's on the financial level, or physical with health issues rising without warning.... And we feel like we are "losing" and yet those things need to happen in order for God to bring in the "new", including the "new me" necessary at that point, in that leg of the journey...
I know that we experience a lot of stress, pain, etc... also often we don't seem to hear right, see right, we are - literally - in a fight. And again, I have found - from my personal experience(s) - that even though it felt and looked like I was doing the fighting, the standing, it was - and still is - God all along sustaining and giving the strength, one day at a time, sometimes one step at a time, an hour at a time.
I also found out - again my experience - the greatest and shortest way to victory is total surrender to God, real total surrender, and once we do that, we can worship like never before and he allows us to get so close to him, nothing else matters, if it ever did, but the truth of who he is and of who we are in him.
It's not about feelings, it's about being.

Go with what we know (from the word) and we won't get in trouble. Kanyon I find that I cannot agree with your assessment. The Word is the standard which tells us how we are to live as Christians. That applies across the board to everyone who is saved. Yet each person is still unique and GOD has a particular plan for them. Now many people do not know their destiny OR they misintepret what God has told them OR they fabricate their own destiny and attempt to make it come to pass separate and apart from GOD. Yet GOD shows himself in HIS word clearly as one who reveales HIS specific will to individuals and to nations. Each one of us has a destiny. Each one of us has a role in the kingdom to play. This is a part of building the personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Knowing who HE is. Knowing who HE is in you. Knowing who HE is THROUGH you. Knowing who you are in HIM. Knowing who you are To HIM.... David had a destiny. Solomon had a Destiny. Moses had a destiny. Peter had a destiny. Paul had a destiny. Even Stephen had destiny. Everyone has a destiny. Everyone has something that the Lord desires for them to do and accomplish. Now what that is.. Thats up to each person to seek the Lord for themselves.

I am guilty of the very thing that I ask others to do and that is to use quotes so one would know to whom one is referring. My comment was to whether or not I should reply to the remarks of Jessica/chosen etc. However, I see that it is being handled. My apologies, continue on
