I have a question.
If a married couple (family) is in a church , and things are just out of order and the wife is not being edified, has been spiritually abused, has been verbally abused, and micromanaged in her gifts and being used in the church, and the whole nine and she decides to want to leave for the sake of peace and to be in a healthy environment, but the husband is an elder was birthed in the ministry by the Pastor, does not see a big problem but just says God is in control, it will work itself out after a while, and he doesnt want to leave what do they do?
They have already talked with the Pastor about the wife's feelings, that didnt work the pastor denies the abuse, the husband isnt going to go against the pastor , the wife also has prayed and said that it is pressed in her spirit their season is up they arent being edified by the ministry, and in order to properly function in ministry they must leave, and she told her husband to be praying as well to see what God is actually saying. And the husband agrees to some things about the insufficiency at the ministry, but upon hearing the sermons and talking with the other elders and pastor, his opinion changes back and forth. And also another man and another woman of God both spoke and said the season was up. Not something that was unfamiliar to the couple. The man of God began to get into some personal things that happened at the ministry that almost destroyed the church and their marriage. Would that be considered a confirmation in the mouth of two or three witnesses given that everything he and she said was true , and these are not ppl that go to the ministry, or are affiliated with it.
Do they pray and just stay there, the wife feeling used and abused? Do they pray and come to a compromise to go to another ministry? Does the wife go where peace is and no obvious abuse occurs, and the husband stay there and assume his duties as elder?
What do you think, can they compromise on this?
