It was also sad for me to know that people knew who the strange "character" was that kept on picking on myself and GAP because we stated we did want to be wives of many... Yet none of the moderators at that time stopped the mess... So now... If I see things that just plainly don't add up... I call it out in the open to be questioned... i don't like lies that are made up for the sake or arguements shielded as "discussions" Sister Kitty again i agree that was a sad situation that happened but i strongly stand against that statement that none of the mods stood up against the strange character because again you are simply seeing things from your own perspective which i respect but again it remains your own perspective. I may have another perspective regarding something on this board and i am sure tens of people have other perspectives but i would not go as far as lumping everyone in the same bowl in a situation. Discussions do get heated and sometimes to the detriment to our debt of love because as you rightly said on one post we are all at different places with different experiences and viewpoints. However our disagreements with each other may be because we feel passionately about an issue not because we are trying to outdo one another but simply because of our personalities, our convictions and being on a bb that does not afford personal interaction because we are typing. As servants of Christ Jesus we are called to endure hardness and persecution. We are told that if we want to live godly in Christ Jesus that we will suffer-does that mean it is alright for people to mistreat us? No but we are assured that God is our vindicator and the lifter of our heads. I have been called many names on this bb and i am sure there are a few yet to come but it does not bother me-if i spew out fire i cannot turn around and be offended when fire is spewed back at me. There seems to be a few camps on the bb and i personally do not see anything necessarily wrong with it-different people have different experiences and have different needs and are drawn to each other because of that. We all do not have the same callings, passion etc and due to that we will see things differently. Those differences are to be celebrated. Re the strange character you seem to know who that is it is personally news to me-i want to ask-did u contact any of the mods and have them confirm that they knew who it was and did nothing about it or did u contact the person themselves? |

Yes, I believe that "situation" is a good example of doctrine contrary to scripture. To my knowledge that situation has been dealt with and prayfully those that were hurt and/or offended by it have received their healing and are now walking in forgiveness.
I cannot immediately think of any situation on this board in which someone purposely made up a "lie for the sake of arguments sheided as discussions". I would say if that is the case, then that is an issue that the Holy Spirit would need to deal with within that person. However, sometimes it can be just our perception of someone which may not mean that it is a "fact".
According to what has been previously written by Beulah, keita and Jasmine, I don't see anyone on this board that fits the description of what is being termed as a "contrary spirit."

The reason that I state that nobody stopped it was because I know for a fact that though IP addresses those who were moderators knew who the person was...
I also know for a fact that before she deleted the whole board... Mo who was a moderator at the time... brought it to other mods attention that I was asking for people to be open about who the person was...
I'm an honest person... I call as spade a spade.
That was a whole character that was created so someone could have fun create havoc... diss the word of God. And again... Nobody put a stop to it... It all ended when the board got deleted... Plain and simple...
So now... when I read things... and they don't make sense... don't add up... and it appears to be a "possiblity" that someone is making a statement that make not be truth for the "sake of arguement" or to prove themselves right... I'm questioning...
I believe in God's word and the truth... This is what I stand for... This is what I believe in... I have no desire to beat anyone over the head with my stances... And if you all look back over time and my actions and behavior on the board you will notice...
That I say my peace and move on...
But when I see Bull S**t somedays I'm just too tired to let it slide...

Do ya'll really believe there's clicks on the board.
I'm just the type of person that If your right, I will back you up with the word, If you wrong, I'll let you know. I' don't care who u are, what church you come from, and where you don't go to church, what your back ground is, or how old you are.
don't care. its irrelevant. All that matters is the word.
If God's word is truth, and if we offer something that aint in line with the word..then its wrong..period.
no clique, clique about it.
I am glad that we all got God, because Im sure we all know how miserable it was trying to do things with out Him.

There were about 6 mods at the time of that issue and yet you listen to one and without dialoguing with the others you seem to have gone on that   Sister Mo is not here to speak for herself and i wholeheartedly appreciate you including what she may have shared with you to explain what you are getting at but i too have my own perspective on what happened and i can assure you that i truthfully mean that nothing is always as cut and dried as it may appear ;)and to simply go on the testimony of one to ascertain and conclude a matter especially in this case MAY be erroneous. but since you want to go there: The people who were claiming abuse and being mistreated were actually those who were forming multiple ids. I realise that may come as a shock to you but some of those who were arguing from your side of the fence and also claiming unfair treatment were the very ones who had multiple ids  As a gesture of love and a corporate realisation on the board that perhaps we all were going too far with a topic which in my honest opinion did not deserve all the infighting that was going on we approached those individuals personally and dealt with it in pm so please let us lay that issue to rest as apart from yourself and i believe another individual nearly the whole of those who were arguing from the other side were using multiple ids. I believe that that is perhaps why many of them have left -obviously your hands and heart are clean so i appreciate u just seeing things from the perspective u were given but i can assure u that people did not storm off because of the topic they left because of the embarassment that came with being the most accusing and the most with claims to victimhood and yet they were some of the very ones stirring up trouble. In love let us once and for all lay this to rest  I applaud u in saying that u hold God's word to the highest standard-I believe that is everyone's intention on the board. Yes it may not always translate that way because of things we might be going through but i believe that is everyone's honest intention apart from the odd loops. A spade being called a spade is absolutely vital -what is true communication if we cannot be honest. The thing to do though is to consider and try and see things from other people's perspective. About brow beating i appreciate that -i think that again is the situation with most people on here the difference is that we have different arguing styles and also a debate develops and goes further because if the original topic or answer is not grounded in scripture or is one of those things that the bible is silent about then teasing out a matter is extremely fruitful. The issue i have is why do people start a post on a public bb and then get offended? There are a core group of people on this board who always seem to come across as if they are being victimised simply because a conversation they started did not pan out as it would if they were at starbucks with their girls. There are people on here who are not short of a good argument and can hold their own very well, get on a post and then get offended-i have been struggling to understand that  in all my years of BB participation. |

I am travelling tomorrow and have been a bit nostalgic so to hear you say that s really nice  2) Cliques, camps, groupings...call them what i dont know if there are any intentions on anyone trying to disprove that i actually agree but i personally see nothing wrong with them unless they are promoting error. I am called as a missionary so wherever i go i gravitate towards those who have a passion for missions because that is my consuming passion at this stage in my life. For some it may be a job, for others husband etc So people gravitate towards those who can encourage them-that is what friendship is about and also those with whom they have things in common with so i actually agree with you on that but i do not see a problem. The issue that i do see is that within the different groupings especially those who claim unfairness from mods etc why doesnt some of them become mods as well? Since from what i read on some posts we are this collective Big Brother why dont some other people come and join in order to balance us? As Bro Giants keeps saying as we complain (and we obviously have a right to) what are we doing about being the solution? I believe this board could do with more moderators. There are a 153 of us on here and only about 6 of us-to all those reading this-bring it on! |
