By the way... I also certainly hope she doesn't turn around and then claim to be lead by God to do a series on how not to choose the wrong guy...
I think we all need to stop looking for someone to follow especially that lacks success in areas that we hope to achieve in a seek God for ourselves... Or at least... ask a few questions of those who have managed to do something successfully.

For the record, JB has always talked about how God has to deal with her pride and arrogance. That's why she has to stay in prayer (which has been the theme of her ministry the last couple of years) HELLOOO! But let's not mistake pride for going on with her life and aspirations.

Now go on?
what is that supposed to mean?
Let's get clear here.... I'm just talking about what I have seen.... Somebody that made some serious comments about birthing out a husband... claiming that we as Black women should watch our mouthes... And again with the super spiritual stuff making claims about people getting husbands illegal.... Sure did get a divorce on less than bibical reasons for one that was supposed to be so deep!
Neither one of my parents was going around claiming to hear from the Lord like that... Neither would either of them have EVER got up and declared that they should tell the rest of us how to do it! How to have a successful marriage...
But their marriage lasted and her did not....
I wonder who was really hearing from God?
Just a thought.....

For the record...
I am going to "go on" and leave this discussion to the Junaita Jockers! LOL
Just remember this... it is the word accord the the Lord... Jesus Christ...
Not... the word according to whatever Juanita Bynum is doing this "season". LOL

Kitty Kitty, When I used the icon behind my phrase "now go on...", it implied me lightening up the mood a bit. Nothing serious. Much like a group of women getting together and telling the other "now go on somewhere" in a joking manner. See, we're not even on the same page here. I don't even know what a "Juanita Jocker" is to get offended so moving on... I also think Kitty that you're looking at what Juanita Bynum has said in the past without really taking into account the current situation she experienced. This woman was almost killed by her husband. That is a very legitimate reason to divorce or leave a man, and that is was the basis of the divorce. But you seem to be overlooking when I said she was willing to take him back after the whole ordeal, which would've been courageous and is typical of many women who have been in similar situations. Yes, Juanita Bynum has said things in the past about marriage but I truly don't think she was looking forward to a beat down by her husband and pastor whatever there difficulties were at the time. One wrong choice or move can change the dynamics of anything.

Please correct me if I am wrong.... Didn't Weeks pursue Bynum? Before he even met her while on his way to her conference, he the Lord told him that Bynum is his wife. And when he shared that with her, she rejected it at first? She prayed about it.... Late she said the Lord spoke to her(I think on TBN). I believe is written in his book, TMHTLY...

Uhhhhmmmm
Anointed... I think your really going there with the claim that he almost killed her...
But of course anyone that wants to believe that Juanita is right in a bibical sense rather than a worldly one would do so...
Would I have gotten a divorce in a same situation? Probably so...
But the main point that I'm making still stands...
It looks very strange, weak, and odd for someone that claimed to be walking in the spirit. Claiming to be following God... claiming to be hearing from God and giving the rest of us directions and instructions on marriage...
Couldn't even seem to follow the basic instructions on marriage accord to the basic vows...
For better or worse... still means for better or worse...
And let's just get this straight... I'm not talking about women who are truly in danger of their lives... because their are plenty of them out there...
But in my humble opinion... Juanita was never one of them... cuz if she was... she wouldn't have walked up on her husband like that in the parking lot when he turned to walk away...
And with this... I official leave this discussion...
God Bless All,
Kitty

Anointed... I think your really going there with the claim that he almost killed her... Kitty, I'm just repeating what she said in the media. You wasn't there. She experienced it. Who am I to believe more? You or her? I'm not making a claim, hun. If you believe she's a LIAR that's your ISSUE. Would I have gotten a divorce in a same situation? Probably so... Thank You sweetie. That was the most important point to me. God bless you as well if you happen to read this.

I take that back she said in an Essence Festival clip that the devil tried to kill her in a parking lot. It wasn't even about Bishop Weeks. She spoke from the spiritual side. Let's also keep in mind there was a man who pulled Weeks off of Bynum. HELLOOO!

My response to this is many are standing in pulpits, on platforms, and before GOD's people speaking things that the Lord has not told them say. This is about all who many have chosen to follow a path that is does not turn the people to Christ yet, to themselves; causing people to err and turn away from God..all while the body is pointing fingers and blaming each from the neck on down as Christ is the head..when are going to stop pointing fingers, beating up the sheep, cutting the shepherds, shifting blame, and accept our part in what we now see before us. WE have chased after many of these leaders running from conference to conference, church to church, state to state all while losting focusing on what is important...as it has been stated in Amos 8:11 -13 would happen.. which reads: That there would lack hearing the words of the Lord and that people would travel from place to place (paraphasing) to seek a word and not find it..

Kitty, I am not ready to do nothing of the sort, neither am I suggesting that Prophetess Bynum start up a new ministry on this. And I certainly wouldn't pay any money to hear her or Bishop Weeks, for that matter, teach a series on this. Yes, everyone should have their own personal relationship with God for themselves, and no one should advocate blindly following a leader. I'm only suggesting that any wisdom she has gained could bless others. Whether you or I benefit or not, there are many who would gain from Prophetess Bynum's honest insight, and whether we want to admit it or not, there are many things we can learn from a leaders very public failure as well as their successes. Be Blessed.
