LOL @ sis ASWSOY scratching her head.
What had happened was:
I quoted sis at's post and posted a response.
When I went to modify my own response I accidentally hit sis at's post and modified it instead.
That's why I was apologizing to her for that mistake of mine.

Keita, you made a mistake ... U put $1200.00 instead of 120.00 ... Now if I made a mistake with that $ figure, I'll be more than glad to correct it, especially in this case and in these times.
Because I know I'm old and my hearing may be going, but I was sure I heard the operator tell me $1200.
Now, the cost really wasn't the deterrent for me. But I certainly don't want any of my info to be a stumblingblock to anyone else considering attending.
So, I tried to call back this evening just to doublecheck, but the (24 hour) operator wasn't available and the link referred to in the recorded message doesn't exist on the website.
So I'll try to remember to try again in the morning and you go on and give Crystal a ring just in case, lol! Okay, I'm pleased to report that my hearing was just fine, LOL! Here's the info as of this AM: Juanita Bynum's "WOMEN SURVIVING THE TIMES RETREAT"[/size] Thursday, November 6 - Saturday, November 8, 2008Registration: $1200 per person ( excluding airfare and hotel costs) Retreat Package includes: - Live welcome call to your home from Dr. Bynum, herself
- Transportation from airport to your Waycross, GA hotel
- Shuttle service between your hotel and Dr. Bynum's Waycross estate
- 3 meals per day
- Speaker Sessions and Workshops
- Live Music
- Special Activities (including a pajama party and formal evening)
- Gift Bags
Speakers To Include:- Dr. Cindy Trimm
- Dr. Claudette Copeland
- Dr. Carolyn Showell
- Others TBA
Retreat capacity is 500 women. (The operator I spoke with said that (as of this morning) there are now more than 450 (nonrefundable) reservations.) Now it truly sounds to me like these sisters will be having a ball! (But I have to ask. Is it me, or does anyone else see something of an "Oprah-Legends Ball-Obama Fundraiser-type" vibe happening here? I truly don't (necessarily) intend that as a criticism, but merely as an observation. Especially in light of JB's stated aspiration to be, as she puts it, "the "Oprah of Christendom.") I do know this. Those three speakers are some powerful, prophetic, preaching sistas, as, imho, is JB. (Carolyn Showell is especially dear to and a great inspiration for me.) So, prayerfully, women attending are definitely gonna hear and hear from GOD. But, I might add, the math definitely isn't lost on me either. Now, maybe there's a hush-hush, cut rate on the retreat for family and friends like sis at and Crystal, lol! If not, at full capacity and full price: 500 women X $1200.00 = $600,000.00. Not exactly a bad gross for a weekend's work, and even the net should certainly pay a (delinquent tax and ex-husband's attorney) bill or two.

Hurry!!! before You are left out!!!! Dr. Cindy Trimm is my favorie.... we go way back ... when her ministry was in South Florida.... she ministered at my church several time..
My apostle is ministring on those dates so, I Can't make.... I was just looking a special on Spirit Air... $2 each way to Atlanta from Ft. Laderdale ..
by the way I was just joking about $120.00, I knew it was 1200 ;D) .... Only way I will paid that much, if it was a fundraising for battered women, college fund, medical research, or for the poor...

Hurry!!! before You are left out!!!! Sis, please! LOLOL! With all of the ministry needs currently before me, I'd be too afraid of my own beatdown from GOD if I even looked like spending $1200 in that way, especially right in through here. But JB's retreat does sound like a lot fun doesn't it? I'm actually co-facilitating a FREE annual weekend women's retreat in November for ministry to healing and healed battered women. If anything, I just really wish that we could give this kind of "fabulous" experience to our registrants. But I suppose we'll just have to trust GOD and muddle on through again this year. Like every year, this event is on my heart and I'm sooooo excited! I always enjoy hearing her preach. Love the military perspective regarding spiritual warfare. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but in the present chuch leadership hierarchy, an apostle, especially your own, would totally trump a prophetess in position and priority, right? (Btw, if a female prophet is a prophetess, how come a female apostle isn't an apostless? OOPS! I guess I should take that kind of question (and my many others) over to the "First Lady/ Church Titles" thread HERE, huh?) LOL! Actually, when I first heard the $1200.00 price tag, I thought that was a joke. So I really wasn't joking when I said I hoped you were right about that "other zero". I'm absolutely delighted to hear that, sis at! For real.

Honestly, with the market the way it is and many people's jobs possibly in jeopardy, this is NOT the time to be trying to have these types of events where ppl are paying a whole paycheck (or even whole months salary...NOT EVEN INCLUDING airfare......
I have an idea.... tell me what they'll be talking about and I'll talk with you and give handouts, etc....for free (and if one chooses to leave a love offering, that's fine but not required.) ;D

Churches Encouraged to Tackle Domestic Violence this Month
by: David Townsend
October is the 22nd Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and candlelight vigils are being held throughout the month to remember victims of domestic abuse.
For the last two decades, October has marked a time when people in the nation come together in the fight to end a tragedy that spans every culture, race and ethnicity and is happening daily whether in the form of sexual, emotional or physical abuse.
And one of the greatest tools in combating violence is education, says Fred Zuker, chancellor and former president of Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn.
"[W]e need to teach respect and ways to prevent violence," he told attendees of the 13th annual candlelight ceremony for victims and survivors of domestic violence sponsored by the Wo/Men's Resource & Rape Assistance Program on Wednesday.
Sharon Karamoko, pastor of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, meanwhile, told the group that violence was not acceptable in any religion.
The important thing for women to remember is that they are a gift from God, she said, according to the Jackson Sun, which reported on the event.
"We are here to celebrate, honor and remember life," Karamoko added. "By partnering together, the community can do a better job of reaching out."
Many churches across the nation have been making more efforts to identify and reach out to victims of domestic violence who may not think to go to a local church for help.
The Prayer House of Deliverance Church in Muncie, Ind., for example, has opened a 24-hour crisis hotline, provided area youth and community organizations with violence prevention presentations and has recently received funding from the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration for more services.
"To me, this is a ministry because we're reaching out to help someone who needs help," Pastor John L. Smith told The Star Press. "That's what the church is all about ... helping people who need spiritual, mental and physical assistance."
According to a 2006 Harris Poll quoted on the National Domestic Violence Hotline Statistics in June 2008, approximately 33 million or 15 percent of all U.S. adults admit that they were a victim of domestic violence.
