The parents of an 8-year-old Willie Robinson, who died from Hodgkin's lymphoma, were indicted Wednesday on charges they denied him medical treatment. As the boy suffered, his parents -- who claimed they didn't have much money -- paid $87 to have a pit bull treated for fleas, investigators said.

The parents of an 8-year-old Willie Robinson, who died from Hodgkin's lymphoma, were indicted Wednesday on charges they denied him medical treatment. As the boy suffered, his parents -- who claimed they didn't have much money -- paid $87 to have a pit bull treated for fleas, investigators said.
(Courtesy of Sheila Slawinski )"Willie Robinson, in the last couple of days of his life, asked his parents to take him to a hospital and would say things like 'mommy, it hurts,'" said Ohio's Cuyahoga County prosecutor Bill Mason.

"They didn't take him," said Mason, citing police reports that are not public record in the state of Ohio until after an investigation is complete.

Willie died after collapsing at his parents' home in Cleveland March 22, 2008.

His parents, William Robinson and Monica Hussing, were indicted March 11 on charges of involuntary manslaughter, child endangering and felonious assault, according to court documents.

Attorney Margaret Isquick, who is representing the couple, did not return repeated calls made by ABCNews.com for comment.

After reading the whole article, his parents were selfish they loved that dog more than their own child...., I don't care if you don't have enough money...No hospital will not turn a child away

I glad I know Jesus he is a Healer and he do works through the doctors and the medication But I would have sold everything I have even i would have taken a second mortage to help the expense...

Im thinking this had to be over a period of time right? Because you just dont drop dead from cancer in a cpl of days, I guess unless it was in its last stage. But nevertheless it was a cruel thing, and hopefully justice will be served for denying a child his right to live possibly and right to have medical care. God has put us as stewards over our children to be faithful in taking care of them, not making them suffer because of our own selfishness. Those ppl knew that the hospital wasnt going to deny them even if they didnt have money.

I think they didnt care if he lived or died, who knows they could have been trying to collect on some insurance money....making it seem as if they didnt know the severity of the illness but knowing all alone he was dying. Who Knows?

I honestly thought, especially after reading that they spent $87 to treat the dog for fleas when a good collar would have helped......they must have wanted that boy to die. They must not have wanted the ongoing responsibility of raising a child with that disease. So they figure, let's just let him die. Money had nothing to do with it. They wanted him to die and they just let him die.

They didn't even have the excuse that they had religious reasons or they were believing God for a miracle??? They wanted him to die.
