Here we go again Paula White Returns to Lead Ailing Megachurch from The Christian Post Charismatic preacher Paula White is stepping in as senior pastor of the Florida megachurch that she and her now ex-husband founded nearly two decades ago. On Sunday, White was expected to officially mark the start of a new chapter in the history of Without Walls International Church, which once attracted 23,000 worshippers and was heralded as one of the nation’s fastest-growing congregations. “It will be my first Sunday to officially preach and to minister to you as the mandate and the mantle that I’ve received for the great assignment for this city, for this ministry, and for our lives collectively as your new senior pastor,” White reported in an eBlast to the Tampa-based congregation. Since her divorce from Bishop Randy White in 2007, White has been ministering in New York, Texas, and abroad, making only periodic visits to Without Walls. The church, meanwhile, has shrunk drastically and found itself having faced foreclosure, with their bank demanding immediate repayment of a $12 million loan on the property last November. Though the church and its lender, the Calif.-based Evangelical Christian Credit Union, later agreed to a modified loan agreement this past March, Bishop White, as recently as last month, reported that the church was in great need for a “financial blessing.” “We’re at a very critical juncture in our life right now with the church where we must have financial blessing,” he said on June 23 in urging his congregation to donate. “God is faithful, and He spoke to me at the beginning of this year and said that 2009 would be our greatest year. And isn’t it like the devil ... to cause confusion, to bring a discouragement just before our biggest breakthrough?” the 51-year-old preacher added. In an interview with the St. Petersburg Times on Friday, White said he was stepping aside as senior pastor because of health concerns and that he has been in and out of the hospital for much of the last seven months. "I have some serious health issues right now," the bishop said. "I've had six different doctors say that I had to take the stress, the pressure out of my life." As a result, Bishop White called up his ex-wife about two months ago to inform her of his health situation and to ask her to consider returning to lead the congregation they once pastored together. After much prayer and counsel, Paula White decided accept the mandate and mantle of senior pastor of Without Walls International Church and the entire ministry organization, according to Paula White Ministries. “Pastor Paula is very excited about this wonderful assignment and opportunity from the Lord,” her ministry reported. “We know this is the divine plan of God and that great things are in store!” As for Bishop White, the ailing minister said he is staying town and will still be connected to Without Walls – just in a different position. “It’s not something that we’re losing. You’re actually gaining,” he told his congregation last week. “And we’re going to gain momentum as we go forward to build the Kingdom of God.” On Sunday, Without Walls was expected to honor Bishop White “for the leadership and the legacy and richness that he has brought to Without Walls.” “And we look forward to our future as God has big things for all of us,” Paula White added. “God has big things for us.”

Oh well.... I guess while God was "calling them to be in different directions..." The threat of liens and foreclosure lost called them home together! LOL

Or, it could be God's will for her to be there and maybe, just maybe, He will use this to restore the marriage.

When a couple is bold enough to declare that God is calling them apart... I could care less if their marriage is restored... I think it is a money sham! They are like Bill and Hilary...

Kitty They made have gotten carry away ... most of us probably would've too when so much money pure in more then we can handle. The heart is deceitful.... so we can't really judge them.... I believe they love the Lord and each other, but allow things and situation to separate them. Paula White retruning is not a surpise cuz she kept visiting after left.

Anointed, I can't judge Paula White and her husband in the since that i can't decide whether or not they end up in heaven or hell... That's God's job... But I can indeed judge whether or not their actions and comments line up with the word of God.
Last time I checked the phrase" Turn and slap you neighbor" wasn't in the bible! LOL
Nor do i see an example of God himself pulling married couples apart. Declaring this so much so that it is implied as a reason for divorce... Let's face it... Paula is where the money is... So is her husband.
Sure she can give a great sermon, people can be entertained... But to me she is a white version of Juanita. Watch her long enough and you will figure out that she isn't walking with God as close as she implies... Nor is everything that comes out of her mouth God inspired...

Anointed, I can't judge Paula White and her husband in the since that i can't decide whether or not they end up in heaven or hell... That's God's job... But I can indeed judge whether or not their actions and comments line up with the word of God. Most of OUR criticism are based on pity things and we ourselves may or may not be to handle the pressure, temptation and trail etc... Many ministers may have worked so hard to get where they are at and overlooked their personal life, just like many professions. They have accomplished much, souls have been saved, lives have been changed over the years, they gave thousand to outreach program local and international, producing their own along with helping others with their programs... These ppl are givers... but many don't understand that these minister fail to sit back and allow other to pour into there life (spiritual not money). How often have you see them off the pulpit and siting in the pew. That is when the door is open for the enemy to enter and destroy what God has built.... Our job is to cover them in prayer and protect them.... I am not for that phase... I have criticized it many time.. it is used to get ppl attention... We ALL say things that not in the Bible... so we all guilty too... That's her way of talking and getting ppl attention... The White was at a very critical time in their life. Paula was so sad... ppl will say things as to trying to give an excuse to why their marriage fail... No, God didn't pull them apart they grew apart by putting more energy into ministries and less into their marriage. Juanita Bynum is Juanita Bynum.... Paula White is Paula White... two different ppl with different callings, different ministries and doing different things. I don't know how these two women walk is... I don't know their prayer life, God never spoke to me concerning their personal walk with Him... I don't know their heart or interpret their cry... I haven't been following or keeping up with Pastor White.. but it seem her heart never left the Church Without Walls... those ppl goes out on the street into the enter city reaching out ministering to lost souls... assisting the homeless, feeling the poor and clothing the naked, visiting the hospitals, prisons and nursing homes... I don't know what they doing now, but that was what they did before the church was going through all those trails. JB... is submitted under a leadership, a member of a church... she is not just out their doing her own thing.. She know she need to be accountable to someone. Yes, she is still anointed and ppl are still being blessed. She was just down here in Miami, to a home-goings of one of her former spiritual father... It's sad how many ppl she have submitted to or have networked with, that turned their back on her when she needed them the most... She need ppl tearing her down, needed prayer and still do. None of these ppl are perfect... they are human walking toward perfection and have got knock off the path a few times, but got back on track and continue to walk.... just like us... we all make mistakes, but thank for the BLOOD of Jesus the never loose his power of washing and cleaning.... If we can come to the fountain and be washed, why can't Paula and Juanita...

Anointed, I agree that none of of us is perfect. But there is a such thing as crossing the line... And people that far up in ministry should be able to own up to their own mistakes... Not declare that , "God did it". I would have respected them more if they said...the devil made us break up... But no...they placed it on God...
To whom much is given...much is required... Sure they may have done some good... I'm not denying that.... but when people start to cause harm and confusion it makes some of their good work null and void. I'm sure they caused a lot of confusion for a lot of people in the area of marriage. That shouldn't be over looked...
Not every ministry should be a mega one... I wonder about the millions of dollars that is not currently accounted for...I doubt all of it when into ministry cost and the poor... And this was stated by one individual who gave them millions of dollars and now regrets it.
I'm just tired of people who are more interested in gaining a lot of bodies in large numbers and dollar accounts than actual souls that they can minister too... Clearly this wasn't God's plan for them but they had their own ideas...

By the way....
not all of us are tempted by money and greed... we have other temptation... but money and greed aren't 2 of them...
If I have a problem with eating cookies... I won't declare that i should be over their packaging... I'd leave that to someone else... Someone not weak in that area...Maybe many other leaders should do the same?

Not declare that , "God did it". I would have respected them more if they said...the devil made us break up... But no...they placed it on God... Kitty... they have a public life and a private life... PW refuse to reveal why her husband divorce her. There were all kinds of rumors... They are not required to go into detail of why their marriage fail. It was very painful, and PW always look like she was crying inside, while going through th process. she nor JB are God... JB refused to tell why she tried to divorce TW in 2005... something happen.. refuse to uncover him, except for what was already out in the open either by the media or what he preached on the pulpit. Who did they harm? Who fail? who confused? PPL are not stupid.. they know ministers are not exempt from the valley experience. Most of the ppl that follow JB are mature Christian, that's why they can relate to her teaching.... she target those who are already in Christ... but in need of exhortation... and many can relate to PW even in her valley experience... they are human being, they are fallible and can be forgiven and restored... Their good work are yet before God and their repented sin are washed in the blood... Who make churches or ministries mega? TD Jakes started with a handful in a store front and ended up with 30,000 +... over ONE sermon seen by Paul Couch (sp ) PPL loved it and went after him... JB did No More Sheet at TDJ Woman Be Thy Loose Conference and the PPL went after her.... PW preach at TDJ church or conference and the PPL Loved her and went after her.... No ppl... No Mega and you can't stop ppl from coming... OK Million of dollars? based on what the media report? IRS? or the jealous senator? The person who gave millions of $$$... can forget about his heavenly reward... when you really give, the $$$ are no longer your... so no invisible cord connecting you to the $$$... You don't question what don't belong to you. He shouldn't have gave, if he couldn't release the it and let it go. He should just count it as a lost.. Who are you judge? Clearly their fruit will speak for them.... Thousand of soul came into the Body of Christ through their ministries, ppl got delivered, the homeless got fed and given assistance, many got ministered to... ppl got blessed.

Kitty Everyone had dealt with personal problems... We don't know anything about them being greedy... thats come from those who always worrying about th preacher $$$ mentality.... These ppl have business outside of their ministries and churches... they investment and multiply what God given to them.... what they make outside their non-profit ministries are NOBODY BUSINESS except IRS.... They are giver... so they reap the blessing... If you call that greed... we have different definitions Yes... the are ppl who miss handle non-profit $$$ but not everybody.... so we can not put them into the same bucket. There are mega and small ministries that are mishandling God's money and motivated by greeds... We all know it... many have cheaped ppl out of so much money. I know it and have watch them do it... but it isn't just mega churches, you will be surprise that some are storefront. You can't judge base on ministries size and how rich the leader .... it is the fruit, that we examine.

So now God is confused about where He wants us? First He calls us to be divorced (which I doubt) but then 2 years later He calls you back to the place that created the mess in the first place? Now if He sent you back because you sinned the first time, to make right what you did wrong, that's one thing. But please don't blame God for both piles of mess. Just a bunch of mess and flesh.

The fact of the matter is that, like many churches that have this husband as senior pastor/wife as co-pastor setup, the wife can outpreach the husband and it's really the wife that is drawing the crowds. So in order to get membership/money levels back up, the moneymaker is being called back in. It's really that simple people.
I wonder what Randy's "new capacity" will be. Either way, it's really out of order.
