Praying for a person to be removed from office, it still a form of witchcraft, espeially if it God's Will for him to be there. THe question is that in our communicating with God, if you don't like something/someone, can I say, "I don't like that person, etc." It "could" be witchcraft but that would be moreso based on the motive. I may be in prayer and say "I really don't like my supervisor and would prefer another....does that have to be witchraft? SIDE NOTE: I ACTUALLY HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH MY SUPERVISOR....JUST USING AN EXAMPLE

Yeah, I can't say I agree with that sentiment entirely. I'm pretty sure when Nero was putting Christians to death back in the day that plenty of saints were praying for his removal or even his death because what he was doing was explicitly evil in every respect. Of course, this is drastically different than simply disagreeing with another's political ideology, but you get my point.

I think as saints we should be more focused on knowing the will of God and praying the will of God.

^I don't think someone praying, "Lord, I really don't like my supervisor and would like another one" or even "Lord, please change this situation with my supervisor" is witchcraft. You're not praying for any harm to come upon your supervisor.

You're not praying for any harm to come upon your supervisor. I said it COULD be, depending on your motive and your heart. Praying for harm is not what makes it witchcraft. Its praying with the wrong motives, heart and intent. Also you could very well be praying AGAINST the will of God and thats what systematic witchraft stems from. Seeking to get one;s own will done separate and apart from the will of God. And YES christians try to work GOD's stuff to get what they want the way THEY want it.. Thats witchcraft... Christians even try to work witchcraft on God Himself..

Lets take the supervisor scenario....
God I dont like my supervisor and would really prefer another....
Now we have to question...
WHY you dont like that supervisor
Is it GOD's will for that supervisor to be that position
Is there a reason you are UNDER that person.. maybe they have a skill or ability to need to LEARN.. we are quick to say.. the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.. but sometimes that wealth is information.. or knowledge.. or contacts... which means you MIGHT have to be under someone you dont like for a season..
Maybe GOD wants you to bear fruit...
Maybe GOD wants you to be a witness to that person...
Thats why I always say what is important to know the WILL of GOD for your situation..

If you don't like your supervisor, you should Identify with the reason why... If she doing things to hurt you or to get you fired, than you pray that God's will be done in this situaion. You as a born again Christian, do not wish ill on someone, not even on your enemies, but ask God what you should do and how should you pray about the situation. That person may be God's anointed, just like Apostle Paul who used to prosecuted(sp) the Christians. We can not judge according to what we see and what we see think, only God know the heart.
God may not have you to work with only the ppl you like... He may throw some in to step on your toes once in awhile... It is not all about you... and everything should be your way...
I don't agree with everything President Obama do... But I know he is a good President and want to work for the American ppl.... I am praying that God will order his steps, lead him and guide him in the way God (not the way I want him to go) have him to go. I pray for him to get closer to the Lord and to hear the Lord's voice and follow the Lord's direction. I pray for the President's safety and protection from those who seeking to harm him, in any way... and God's perfect Will be done in his life and his family.... I also pray for the Congress and senators and all who are working with the President. If I don't like something, I take it to God...I am not going around cursing him. Cursing the President is cursing America...

Let's take this example:
Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further , and fell on his face, and prayed , saying , O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will , but as thou wilt.
My point is that you may not like/want something. That feeling shouldn't be something that in communicating you can't voice. The will was for Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. The humanity side would've preferred to have the cup pass over.
I would've preferred McCain won. The same way in my communication with God I may say i wish that McCain won or that Obama lost doesn't mean I'm using witchcraft. I'm just being honest of what i feel. It doesn't change anything for God's Will will ALWAYS be done no matter what I want. But I shouldn't feel that I can't say that I didn't like something because if I do that's witchcraft.
Even with the supervisor example. Granted if I didn't like them, I shouldn't feel as though i can't say that i don't. It won't change anything...it's my personal opinion. For me, it's a given that anything that happens or anything i go through is because that's what God desires and it's my job to follow through. Am I going to like every decision? No. But me indicating as such doesn't mean I'm operating in the spirit of witchcraft....
Side Note: I don't think that wishing that a president only serves one term is perse wishing "ill on someone"

But Sarah... you wanted Sarah... a heart beat away from being Presindent? Oh my goodness, that's hard to believe.... I thank God he didn't win... With her racist rallies and lack of knowledge of economics, and foreign policy, bad characters.... She thought Africa is a country, and she recently called Iran ... Irag, she didn't know different. Now she whining about everything.... OK, that's off the topic.... NO... it is not wichcraft... But if you wished something to happen to (than) Sen. Obama, in order for Sen. McCann to win ...YES... I went over board, sorry.... If you pray that your supervisor lose her job (no income) or disappear... or wish something bad will happen to he/her... Yes.... Giant is correct, it a matter of the heart, the motive ... If a person making your life miserable, by doing things to you and trying to harm you... You can pray and allow God to fix it, cause you can easily be move by emotion, anger and flesh .. You can pray against the situation without cursing the person, our warfare are spiritual.

Side Note: I don't think that wishing that a president only serves one term is perse wishing "ill on someone" Difference in this example however is this.. Jesus KNEW the will of GOD and he SUBMITTED to the will of GOD.. Problem I have found with many saints.. 1) We DONT know the will of GOD for a situation 2) we dont ASK HIM for HIS WILL 3) We dont wait for Him to REVEAL His will 4) We exalt OUR WILL.. 5) We dont SUBMIT to HIS Will.. I believe we also make the critical mistake of saying " well if it happened in my life and God allowed it then it was HIS WILL because he wont allow what is no His will to happen to me.. " That is so very wrong its not funny.. God made man as a free will moral agent. We can CHOOSE to do HIS WILL or we can choose NOT to do His will.. Whatever we choose there are consequences and reprecussions for both. I have seen many saints who made decisison against the will of God ( knowing God;s will and openly opposing it ) and I have seen many saints who made decisions ignorant of God's will ( and His people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge )... Sure you can not like God's will.. you can even question it.. but will you SUMBIT to it... thats the key for me..

Saul tried to kill David.. several times...
David had the opporunity to kill Saul yet NEVER spoke against him or attacked him..

GDD: I think this is one area where we won't see eye to eye for I am a believer that what happens is God's Will. Which is fine. (and I think that we've exhausted this part in a different thread)
But I think that as ppl, if we like/don't like something there should be no issue with saying "I don't like x". That doesn't negate you submitting to His will.

Nope then we wont agree because I dont believe EVERYTHING that happens is GOD's will.
I keep it this simple. The Word of GOD says that is his desire that NONE perish but that ALL MEN come to repentance.. but all men dont... its that simple for me...
And I am a believer that when we like or dont like something oftentimes its because we have the WRONG perspective or understanding.
No one is saying we cant voice our opinion or how we feel, however when it comes to our relationship with GOD at times we need to learn how to become separated FROM our feelings. Oftentimes we are led and controlled by them. Even our feelings need to be sumbitted to HIS will.
I am in some situations right now that I would rather not be in. However I have come to realize several things.
1) If we are going to reign with him we are going to suffer with Him
2) This light affliction is only for a moment
3) When Jesus was on the cross the scripture said it pleased the Father to bruise Him
4) The scripture says that Jesus endured the cross for the JOY that was set before him
5) We MUST pick up our cross and follow Him
6) I wouldnt be IN IT if GOD didnt know I would come THROUGH it.
7) I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthes me
8) Give Him PRAISE regardless of what you see or feel
9) Continually go to GOD In prayer so you can get the PROPER persepective on the matter
10) Continually go to GOD in prayer so you can get the proper ATTITUDE on the matter.
11) Your attitude REALLY does determine your Altitude
12) Count it ALL JOY !!!!
See thats where I see things a little differently.. at some point it shouldnt be ablut what I like and what I dont like...
It should become about GOD and HIS will and what HE desires... and when my desires become HIS desires.. thne you can relax and flow...

Don't have a problem with disagreeing because truth be told whether we believe that EVERYTHING that happens is God's will isn't a heaven/hell issue.
Agree
My point was never regarding being led/controlled by our feelings. (For some, based on Myers Briggs, that could be harder if your personality is one that makes decisions moreso based on feelings). My point was rather that there shouldn't be a problem with me telling God how I feel. I mean even from using this particular issue, if they feel as though they don't want him in office or would prefer that he's only a "one-term president", there's nothing wrong with that.
No disagreements there....
Not sure if we're saying the same thing. But I see it that there will always be things that God says that we like or don't like. And I can say "God, I don't like...." or "I wish i didn't have to...", etc. But the difference is that no matter what I should be willing to still do what he wants...and even when I don't want to, he knows how to use that rod and staff that pushes me to what he desires me to do...
