Lying to get a job

Now y'all know what I'm talking about...not about lying about felonies or stuff like that. But if you were fired from your last job for whatever reason, even if it was totally unfair, you know that the next job isn't going to hire you if you tell them you were terminated from that job as opposed to being laid off or quitting. So....what say ye?

Didn't the Harlet lied about the Israeli spies, Abraham lied about Sarah, not saying you should lie... but you don't have to tell them you were fired... You can use a different phase, like you were released for a better opportunity or something like that...
