That's how I feel too. Some people were just waiting on her to mess up so that can tear her down and talk about her. We're hearing from people who never had nothing to say about her before, then this happens they have a lot to say. She didn't host the radio show yesterday and the prayer revival she was suppose to be doing got postpone. I guess she needed some time after having to go to court. This is so sad... it is alot on her and ppl will not let her rest. They say she need to take a break, but they will not give her a break. The ppl on My Prayer Time is lifting her up. She till love TW and that what make it so hard and so painful. Her niece say it is hurting the whole family... That young lady is ready to fight everybody , she is hurting for her aunt.

She's not the only one hurting..we all felt that and the pain of it doesn't go away overnight. She have no control of what have happen to her in the parking lot. All she did is made a decision to terminate the marriage and not go back into an abusive relationship. She doesn't deserve the continuous beat down from ppl.... ppl can be so cruel and church folk are worst.

You know what AT..everyone on this bb has agreed that she did not deserve and it's wrong. Yet, it seems that's all you can hold onto..that hurt alot of women and men. It was shocking and still many don't understand the "why". As a prophet of God you have to be able to endure some things..whether it's right or wrong. God is not pleased with ANY of this mess..what it brought out..what it has brought on. This is not about them...it's actually about God and what he wants from us. She is not the only woman who has faced an abusive relationship and she won't be the last. You want TW to tell the truth..yet, I am not sure if we are really ready to hear the truth. As the truth may destroy many people who trusted in man instead of God.

Evangelist's husband to stand trial in March By D. AILEEN DODD The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 01/14/08 A March court date has been set in the criminal case against the husband of national evangelist Juanita Bynum.
Bishop Thomas W. Weeks III, who is accused of beating, stomping and choking his estranged wife in an Atlanta hotel parking lot, is scheduled to appear in Fulton County Superior Court on Feb. 25 for final plea and arraignment, said court officials. A tentative trial date in the criminal case has been set for the second week in March.
his wife.
On Friday, the bishop, his divorce and criminal lawyers and Bynum met behind closed doors with a Fulton County Superior Court judge for several hours, said court officials.
"The defense had indicated that [Weeks] was open to trying to dispose of this case without a trial," Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said through a spokesperson. "The judge called the parties together to see if that was possible, but those efforts failed. Now the case is set for trial."
Randy Kessler, Weeks' divorce attorney who attended the meeting, refused to comment on what was discussed about the criminal case.
"No plea was entered," Kessler said. "It was a scheduling conference to schedule the criminal process."
Weeks has been charged with felony aggravated assault, felony terroristic threats and two counts of simple battery in connection with the alleged Aug. 21 attack against Bynum. He has repeatedly denied the spousal abuse.
The couple's divorce is still pending in Gwinnett County Superior Court. It is scheduled for both mediation and deposition on Feb. 18.
Meanwhile, Weeks, an author and leader of a global ministry, and Bynum, a Pentecostal pastor, author and gold-selling gospel singer, are planning separate seminars on family issues next month. Weeks' "Renaissance for Domestic Wholeness" is scheduled for Feb. 14-16 at Global Destiny Church in Duluth. Bynum has said that she would host a domestic violence awareness conference in February. No information was available on the conference late Monday.
He has one more chance to decide if he wants to plead guilty. If not they will be going to trial in March.

This is just a HOT Mess! they both are planning domestic violence conference...... One is being charged with domestic violence and the other one is being accused of domestic violence....
This whole scene is just a slap in the face to Christianity... it is a mockery to the power of God.....how can we say God can reconcile family situations but the one's hosting the conference's are so divided...................
I was watching a TV show "The worst of 2007" on BET the other day and this incident came up as one of the worse incidents for 2007 and what was so said is that the secular artist was commenting more on their behavior after the fact rather than the incident itself....

LANL...there are Pastors and leaders are out there who have had much to say about this..and the secular world ain't backing down. Unsaved folk seemed to have a better grasp on this than the body of Christ does. Many had never heard of them until that incident.

I'm really tired of this pass that we are giving leaders.... People are truly being corrupted but as long as those people don't have a face it is as if some people don't care...
Let me just share this example. I have a friend that hs been hit on my a promenient pastor. This is a guy that is on the rise in the Christian community. This guy has claimed to be sepaprted from his wife in order to call my friend on the phone. His story is that he is getting a divorce.
Yet he say very vulgar things to her all the time. She questioned him about his behavior. She asked him if she had done anything to give him the impression that she was "game" to sex out side of marriage. She also asked him why his actions seemed to be so different from what he preaches in the pulpit?
His answer to her....
" Don't come to me with that religious BS cuz nobody really lives that way..."
This guys great act in front of the church has really helped to convince my friend that most Christian men are really secretly dogs....
It is apparent that this guy doen't believe in what he preaches but he has a degre in theology. He is up and coming and people would never believe the things he hsa done in private and the people it affects...
When will we as the Body of Christ learn that these people that stand up and clown before us aren't just people who have fallen short... many of them down right lack a fear of God. And we continue to support them as if God is winking at them!

And Kitty..what you just posted is the truth. It even happens with men who say that they want to do the will of God.

There no advertisments or anything about her conference. I think the media just throw something that don't exist in. In Essence magazine, she said she putting the Domestic Violent aside till she is over this situation.

When will we as the Body of Christ learn that these people that stand up and clown before us aren't just people who have fallen short... many of them down right lack a fear of God. And we continue to support them as if God is winking at them! Kitty We as Christians women need to wise up and become bold in the Lord. Just like you will put a sinner in his place if he disrespect you a little bit, we must do the same with the so called man of a god. Even if the man is single, if your friend would have straighten his behind out the first time with the first move, he would never call her. What most woman do is leave a crack in the door so the pulpit pimp, can slip his way right in and sweet talk their mind. People know right from wrong even the sinner. My sister not saved, she just started going to church, but not totally commited. A few years ago she met this older man, who is a deacon in his church. He live and go to church about two hours away from where my sister live. My sister thought she met a man of God and that he can help her get right with God. My niece live up that way, so she decided to visit him and wanted to visit his church. She realized that the man want sex and told him that she was taught that it was a sin and refused and put him in his place. She wasn't saved and wasn't living saved, but had enough sence to know that Christian don't suppose to have premarital sex. She immediately broke off from him, he wanted to use her on the side and play holy on Sunday and she wasn't going to play that.

Juanita is not planning anything, just Bishop Weeks. The comment in the essence article was something she said right after it happened, but since then she has changed her mind. She said she wanted to focus on herself healing first before she tries to help someone else.
I don't see how he can even think about doing a domestic violence conference when his divorce trial starts next month and the aggravated assault starts in March.
