Giants, do you mean the actual problem is there are no winners in this situation? Agreed. However, it's crucial that we be accurate in realizing that one has NOW chose to stop going back and forth doing TV interviews... and has been for some time now. That's all. When they met with lawyers earlier this month it was quiet and closed door. So what more are people wanting? You can't take Bishop Weeks's interview with BET and wish him and her will be quiet when she has been quiet lately. It's not a matter of her winning, but her being quiet as of to date (as many bloggers have wished for). If the Lord is your vindication, why try to defend yourself? As of to date, JB hasn't been trying to vindicate herself of Weeks's allegations. (Although she really has nothing to defend if she was attacked in the measure reported). anointed in all honesty.. I really dont care who is and who isnt talking or who stopped talking first.... they BOTH made a horrible mess of this situation and created an embarassment to the entire body of Christ.. And in all honesty, Giants ... the mess was made and they are paying for it but life and the church will still go on. I don't say that lightly either. And whether you realize it or not, people are still coming to Christ. The 5-fold ministry is still equipping the saints in the local churches. And people still want to know about Jesus and walking closer to God (at least I've ran into people who do). Since the inception of the church, there has always been serious issues (reason why Paul wrote many of those letters) but it didn't stop the growth of the Church then and it won't now. At this point, we got to leave Bynum and Weeks to God as we pray that they both get back on track, agreed? Other than that, we each have the responsibility to redeem the time and not look at the Weeks' situation as something that can't befall us but rather as a reminder that we must make sure our personal lives are in order just as much as the public ministry. But please, let's not act like Bynum/Weeks and their scattered flock is a first in Christendom. Their situation and worst cases go on in many congregations across America, it's only that Bynum/Weeks are considered popular so it's more of a bigger deal for some. Even though I think in God's eyes, he has a standard whether you preach to 5 or 5,000.

And who said the church wont go on.. The situation however is an embarassment... period....

I didnt feel challenged, and while you are correct none of should be an embarrasment in our day to day lives when were are at that level of publicized ministry and airing our mess through national media channels we should have an awareness of how what we do and what we say affects people...

You are absolutely correct. But the embarassment has been done. Nothing they can do will retrack what's been aired. That's why I'm looking at what's going on NOW. This new year only one has continued to air mess through national tv. Let's start the new year right. That's all I'm saying.

I didn't see the Bet show But I did logon to see the clips they had that night. It's really sad, and I don't have much to say but there are two side to every situation. Truth and Lie. Both parties are saying they are telling truth. But God really knows what Happen and I beleive God will let the truth really be known....

How long are we gonna keep focusing on that? We knew that since August, The only way it's gonna go private is if he stops doing interviews, she already did. But it doesn't look like he plans on doing that because he's doing interviews almost every two weeks.

However as a woman of God in the public eye with a more nationally known ministry than her husband she should have handled this with much more class, tact and wisdom........

I have said repeatedly they BOTH have made mistakes, they BOTH could have handled it better. they BOTH need to go sit down somewhere and be healed and ministered to, and they BOTH need to shut up... For me its not a BTW vs JB issue.. which is what many here keep trying to make it... Its as I always say.. Aint nobody right but God.. only time we are right is when we are in right standing with HIM... And this simply put aint right... HIM or HER.. they BOTH wrong.. PERIOD...

It's him not her. He seems to keep wanting to do interview after interview. How many is he going to do? He has done about 10 or more and it seems like he is not going to be finished anytime soon. The Good Bishop has done more than Ms. Bynum at this point. Let's do a count: Bishop Weeks: 1. Tom Joyner (talked about Bynum) 2. WAOK Atlanta (talked about Bynum) 3. V-103 Atlanta (talked about Bynum) 4. Gospel Today - Front Cover (talked about Bynum) 5. Inside Edition (talked about Bynum) 6. BET Exclusive (talked about Bynum) 7. Fox 5 Atlanta (talked about Bynum) 8. Channel 2 News Atlanta (talked about Bynum) 9. Black America web (talked about Bynum) 10. Introduced book "What love taught me" (talked about Bynum) Who really spreading dirty laundry and who really trying to hurt who? He really making himself look bad, like the husband from hell. It is scary... to fall in love with someone and they ended up being like Bishop Weeks ... He cold hearted and mean . I have a hard time believing anything he say.... he lied about the incident, so he might be lying about everything esle. Anointed, this is what I have been trying to point out. Every article and interview I read wasn't out to hurt or do any damage to Bishop Weeks, not even the first interview with Essence Magazine. Everything she spoke about in the Essence Magazine was very public incidents. The beat down was a public incident The House, the owner went to the media about the eviction. He blamed Dr. Bynum. When she got put out of his van, he spoke about that at his conference.... Which show that many things he have spoken at his conference was really out to hurt her or make her look bad. Example: how they cuss, while making love.... I believe she was very embarrassed about it.... He brought up a lot of personal things in their marriage over the pulpit. He talked down on her in June at his church over the pulpit. She have been building him up so people won't judge him as a monster, because of the incident. I think he is crazy... I read a comment by his cousin James Weeks... it affecting both side of the family... Why did the bellman attacked him if he wasn't beating his wife in public? Let Bishop Jakes stumble over a rock.... They will stone him too... The church is the only army that wound their own.... I think ppl are jealous of Dr. Bynum and It make me think.... is it because she is a strong woman or appear to be strong and we have a different attitude toward men? Too much lip stick and gloss....

Someone was telling me about the show. I have to agree with GDD..this is an embarassment to the body of Christ. We sometimes forget that we are all members of the body of Christ..and that what one does it affects everyone around them. The world does not see this a TW or JB thing..they have viewed it as a Christian thing..a church thing..and sadly even though we may have not participated in any of the deeds that occurred that night..we are considered to be "them messed up church folk" .."they ain't right church". When we accept and realize that we the church and make up a body..all this shift of blame..finger pointing and etc will stop. Sometimes we need to take a break from trying to get deep revelatory knowledge and go back to the basics..Isaiah 58 speaks of pointing the finger. As this being something that she had to go through..I disagree. God is requiring his people to be pure in heart and in spirit and no one is exempt from that requirement.
Neither one of them has extended grace or shown brotherly love..right is right..wrong is wrong..and sin is sin...I don't care who did what or said what they are wrong and need acknowledge the pain..the hurt..the anger..the disappointments..and allow to God to heal them away from the press..family..and everyone else.

www.blackgospelpromo.com/predesign/bynum0208/It's nice to know that his family still love and support her even though their is a very high chance that he can go to prison. This prayer is going to be very emotional for all of them.

As for the second comment..is that fact or your own thought ? He may not get anytime because he may not be able to get a fair trial because the incident was highly publized; there is something we all have to learn from this and hopefully we will.

Stillfocused, why are you addressing a quote to me that I never said? I'm going to walk in love by believing the best about you and just consider it a mis-type. You meant to address "heaven" not "Anointed" ... You don't even need to apologize. God bless you, my dear sister.
