My question was " How would you feel if JBW and TW reconciled in spite of what happened in August and they made the decision to focus on their marriage and not their ministries ? I am talking total reconciliation living in the same house and continuing as Mr and Mrs Thomas Weeks, III ? Then they would be giving God the glory (finally)!! |

I still question his motives behind this. All of a sudden you have this huge change of heart in 48 hours? Makes you think. He may be sincere (or maybe not) but haven't the Holy Spirit done a change in you before in a short amount of time? |

Side Note: BTW, I think all the threads are getting me confused because I tend to look at the last 20 or so posts and so I'm not sure if I'm answering the same question twice or not....lol |

This is from a new article I was reading; Juanita Bynum's publicist Amy Malone said Friday that Bynum had not seen the book and didn't press Weeks to pull it. "She had nothing to do with it," Malone said. "They have not spoken." Malone said Bynum's brother, Tom Bynum, is scheduled to appear on the Tom Joyner Morning Show Friday to discuss the matter. Weeks has launched a four-day fast at Global Destiny in Duluth so that the congregation can pray for strength and healing for themselves and their leaders. A "Shut In" will be held Friday at 11 p.m. The sermon will be broadcast live on the Internet. In the video apology, Weeks invites Bynum to come back to the pulpit of the church they started to preach at 5 a.m. Sunday, even if it means he has to leave the building because "of the legal situation right now." ____________________________________________________ The prayer shawl was her way of asking the church to forgive her not him. I still question his motives behind this. All of a sudden you have this huge change of heart in 48 hours? Makes you think. I pray that God have dealt with him about the whole situation and that he got wise counseling to come to this decision. I pray that they can handle their difference quietly and private with a godly mediator (sp). If they want to get back together, they get the proper godly counselor that will work privately with the two of them. They need to learn how to communicate and be patient with each other and get anger management. God can turn anything around |

God wouldn't be for Weeks getting back with his first wife... That is unbibical... It states that is a abomination to the Lord.

If they got back together.... Hhhhmmm how would I feel about it?
I don't know... It still gives a Black eye to Christian marriages because I would be afraid that some women who are in marriage in which they could be killed would be encouraged to stay in thos situations.
Now I'm not say that God couldn't completely heal tha marriage. Because ALL things Are Possible To God.
yet I don't think Juanita would do it because she wouldn't be able to hold on to ministry after that. I mean whre would they go from there? She couldn't be the face for domestic violence any more...
And they wouldn't be able to do the conferences for marriage anymore... I mean seriously that would be like if"Ike & Tina" decided to do a marriage conference by in the 70's. Could ya imagine that!

1. Let's disregard the apology by Weeks. On Tom Joyner, Jacque Reid talked to Bishop Weeks after the apology was sent out and she said that he said he called the books off because if they ever got out, JB's ministry would be officially over. Now, did he not say in the apology that he pulled the books off because he emotionally wounded JB? But then he goes back and tell Jacque Reid something else? If you asked me, he's playing with JB's emotions now!
2. People are saying they need to resolve their matters privately. But I think for JB, it's resolved and she's not going back to that situation but focusing on bettering herself. The January Essence article gives her resolution. But TW must continue to expose what he calls "dirt" on JB all to cover up and distract from the issue of him beating his wife.

TW is trying to win a criminal case and if discrediting JB is the way to do it than that's what he was going to do........ All of this may seem strange but a friend of mine was killed by her husband a few years ago and he used a scene right out of Law and Order to build a case.... I was so angry and just couldn't believe this man was putting his wife down like that and a friend of mine told me "he is trying to win a criminal case and is saying and doing whatever to get off." That's what I believe TW is doing and IMO that book would have probably compromised JB ministry, testimony and integrity....... |
