IN your words, what does waiting really mean??? When it comes for waiting for a Husband/ Wife..............
Please share your thoughts.............What are somethings we as singles can do to prepare ourselves for are future husband/ wife................I am all Ears

There are many good organizations out there who can't afford to hire extra staff, but would appreciate a hand for a few hours a day. Give it your all. What kind of gifts do you have..cooking, singing, hair dressing? Look for opportunities to share your gifts with someone else. |

I will share a little Word of Wisdom that the Lord gave me the other day about " waiting "
There are some things I have been waiting on for quite some time..( over ten years ) and at several stages there has been a rescheduling of things ( from my perspective ).
I asked the Lord, why does it seem with certain things in my life it takes so much time for them to happen?
God said, because you have a lack of understanding about Time. I said Lord I know some thing about time and some things about time from your perspective. Tell me what you mean.
He said...
" Time is the measure of grace that I pour out so you can get ready for what I have promised you. so embrace the time. "
Singles can prepare themselves by getting ready.
These are all things I did after God spoke to me about a wife.
NUMERO UNO, Build your relationship with GOD> your marriage will not succede without a strong intimate personal relationshp with GOD> And I aint talking I go to church and I'm on the usher board.
I asked God to heal me from past relationships.
I asked God to break every soul tie to past relationships.
I asked God to renew my mind regarding women.
I asked God to teach me how to be a MAN ( not machismo )
I asked God to teach me how to be a Man of GOD.
I asked God to teach me how to be a Husband. ( God began this by taking me to the Word and showing me JESUS )
I asked GOD WHY He was marrying me ( what was HIS intended purpose for a marriage.. scripture says without a vision the people perish. I needed to know GOD's vision for my marriage so it woudnt perish )
I began to study what marriage really is.
I began to study the different covenants in the Bible. because marriage is a covenant.
I kept working on doing the Work of the Lord. ( i understood that like Isaac if i was doing the work required in the field, and worshipping the Lord God would bring me my wife. )
I kept seeking GOD for the vision for my life and WALKING IT OUT.
I prayed and I believed...
I endured ridicule of family members wondering why I wasnt dating and them ridiculing me about finding a good woman. Some family members even began to suggest that I might be gay and thats why I wasnt with a woman.
I battled against the spirit of heaviness through loneliness.
I read books and tapes on marriage by MEN of God ( there were already lots of books by women. I needed to see and read some stuff that came from men of God )
SO there was PLENTY of things to do while waiting..

Ok lets look at it this way....
God said you are going to have a business...
But you never investigated that business...
You never did research to understand that industry...
Your credit is jacked up and you never tried to repair it...
You never sought GOD about it further...
You never developed a business plan...
You never went out and looked at property or decided how much space you would need for the business to operate...
Wouldnt you be silly to be standing around 10 years later being all like..
" God where is my business ??!!!!"
