Also GDD in answer to your question, what we can do on this BB to help out.... I encourage each person on this BB to commit to investing some money into our Historical Black Colleges and Universities....... Many times we have graduated from these institutions and we never give back.....As a result many of these colleges are closing, not receiving the proper accreditation that is needed to issue certified degrees..... What's the purpose of giving ALLLLLL of our money to churches when our institutions are falling by the wayside..... And if every African American Church in America would commit to give $20,000 a year to these HBCU we would have a higher percentage of our black men being educated and not in the prison, our girls would have something to aspire for besides being a "Baby Momma." If the churches gave to the colleges, they could hire the recruiters needed to get these kids off the streets and into Education.....but NOOOO we build temples and think that God is pleased.................

Jas, i have to get the book, but she mentions in her book about how many feel obligated to give 10% of their income to the church every month and how it is a struggle for some to give that amount every month....and with that comes guilt..... I have the book, when you read that quote where did you see it?

Jas, i have to get my copy of the book in order to get you the specific pages etc...... I haven't read the book in a while and it is not a book that i memorized.....to me the book was OK, it was not a piece of literary that I would memorize .....When I get my book and scan through it i will let you know the part that I am referencing... However a book that is good and that assisted me alot on my perception of investing was Rich Dad Poor Dad....and the part I did memorize from that book was the difference between an asset and a liability.... And that for many of us, the assets we think we have acquired are not assets at all but liabilities One thing Rich Dad Poor Dad teaches is GIVING, that in order to become successful one has to give.........

As a project
Why don't each person on this BB encourage their Pastor to pledge significantly to a HBCU if they don't already?
