Why does bad things happen to good people???

Why does bad things happen to good people? Why does God allow certain things to happen to us? Just like me for an example, I was born with a chromosone disorder, heart problems, thyroid disease, come from a broken home, was sexually abused growing up by my father? That is just half of it? A person can only take so much. Why does God allow all these things to happen?

you quoted me as saying things "just happen" but I said things happen. Yes, there is a reason and much of it has to do with the fact that we live in a fallen world. Yet, Jesus is still LORD!

what is the definition of good? for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Since Christ suffered in the flesh even though He was blameless we are called to follow and arm ourselves with the same mind...........

the short answer to your question IS: The rains fall on the just and unjust. No one is exempt from trials and tribulation. No one.

God still sits on the throne, and he always has a plan in mind.

"If I were in control, of my life.... I think that I would have worked things out differently. Their would be, no hurt, no pain, no disappointment, of these things my life would be.. scott free!


But that just goes to show, how little I know, about leading and controling my life, you see all of these things...have worked together just to make the best of me!

God controls my life, and my times are in his hands, you see Im learning everyday...to trust him...come what may....If I were in control of my life, I would have worked things out differently...all of these things have worked just to make the best of me!

And you're STILL alive, in your right mind, and have a mind to serve the Lord? If you don't see purpose in that, then I don't know what else will convince you!

You're already a testimony. Sis, it's not about you. God's getting glory out of your life so that you may lead others to Him. They will see His hand in your life and glorify the Father in heaven.
