I am not being hateful when I say this..but, I will not knowing be a part of a Cogic church in with the name Cogic behind. I have only encounter one..which was under thei guise of being non denominational..yet, in action and yet, even the way some things it was COGIC because the Pastors grew in that denomination and did not what the traditions of Cogic. I found the some of the women to be very catty and very though they were the very practicing the things that many have mentioned as reason to be sat down...they were not sat down and did not sit themselves down. I had never encountered so much backbiting and scheming in my life..yet, it taught me a lesson that I will never forget. Many of the church's ministries were ran by family members or close friends who lied, schemed, and plotted to get into ministry. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I had to check myself and I left because God told me to..after someone tried to use prophesy to control and manipulate me..I learned how you can jump, praise the Lord and still were masks..for some that they were several. For me it was a mini country club with a bunch of rules that you had to follow..even if the leaders themselves did not..while you were told that you not submissive..nobody likes junk. Nothing against anyone who is a part of this denomination..as you can find it all anywhere. Yet, for me the wounding went very deep..and even the word says that we are to pray for our enemies. I got tired of hearing from the pulpit that against who did not agree with them was their enemie..I left wondering what happened to being your brother's keeper ? That encounter caused to almost walk away from church totally..thank God for his delivering power..because it was not his Love that experienced..

To all that have been hurt by COGIC Pastors please remember that there is a governing Board within the organization and you should report those Pastors.....
I am not being funny, but I have never heard of such stories besides the few examples given by both Jas and myself.... I have never heard of people being sat down for NO reason.....
then of course there are always two sides to every story.....

Stillfocused I can't say I understand where you are coming from, but I will say as long as you go to where God leads you, you'll never go wrong. Whatever the denomination, non denomination..it doesn't matter, just go somewhere and be blessed. Amen! But as for me and my house...We shall serve the Lord..Cogic style. On a Serious Tip. I also would like to add...Its not about denominations, I don't walk about with my chest stuck out proclaiming I'm Cogic. I am a child of God, who attends a cogic church. yes the VAST majority of my family, came out of cogic churches, I married into a family line of Cogic pastors and preachers...however...I have a number of churches I would like to attend, but GOD said...this is my wealthy place..so...I am staying in my wealthy place. If your weathly place is Apostolic stay there, If its Baptist..Stay there If its full gospel, Stay there...if its non-denom stay there. Where ever the Lord is blessing you...stay there..!

I am not being hateful when I say this..but, I will not knowing be a part of a Cogic church in with the name Cogic behind. You know sis, I once felt that way but honestly I know that it was just the church that I attended that had the issue. Also, I cannot blame an entire body of believers for what one particular church did. My reason now for saying that I will not attend a COGIC church is not because of the abuse that I suffered in my old church but because I know some of the "rules" (is that the correct word) that they have in place and it would go against what I believe. Also, I know the call of God on my life and therefore for me to place myself under that type of leadership, I feel, would be to go against what God has for me. I find that to be the case with most. Sis, that is women period...lol So the story unfolds and this was part of my issue. Out of the 30 or so members, 20 were family members....lol and the others were so brain washed that you couldn't get them to see anything other than what "Pastor said". My break is almost over. I will get back to the rest of this.
