It was quite interesting that this kind of video appeared on the church's website. I agree that there sex is not a topic that is discussed in our churches..yet, I do not believe that one much stoop to the same tactics the world uses to get someone's attention.

Q? Can you please explain, why you feel that this is a tactic of the world?
I read over the site. I personally don't see anything wrong with Married couples attempting to share intimacy for 30 days. Some married folks go 30 days without any type of intimacy, so the challenge is not per se a bad thing..

I don't have a problems with the contend of the ad..yet, when you place a picture of a woman with her leg wrapped around a man...it can send a double message as we all know that sex sells..

Yes..Jasmine that is true. Yet, if you read the ad there was a part it addressed singles who were having sex to stop. And whether the ad was targeting married couples or not it's still not appropriate for a ministry to use that kind of picture..

This church is targeted to young professionals and college students which is why they asked singles to refrain from sex and married folks to become more intimate to help eradicate the relationship problems people are experiencing....

If you focus too much on the picture...you will miss the Message.

I really wasn't focusing on the picture..it jumped out and caught my attention. I did read the words..it's time for accepting everything that puts the stamp God and Jesus on it. I agree that can be perceived in many ways..yet, why is the church has become so carnal that it resembles the world and we say "praise God" when we have clearly been told to be in the world but, not of the world. Maybe I am missing something..
LANL..that's good. Here's my take if Pastors spend more time teaching on the things were people really are..they wouldn't have to tell singles to abstain. It's time out for teaching part of the Word and leaving the other parts out..

Stillfocused,
I don't disagree with you. The picture is irrelevant to me. I don't think they are conforming to the world standards, I don't think they have become so carnal that they are doing everything thats ungodly.
Sex is taboo in the church..thats why more kids engage in sex now, more than ever, and thats why marriages are failing. Things that should be discussed, we don't, because...we are too deep to talk about it.
I actually think its good they are stepping outside of the box...
you can see far much more, and worse in a disney program.

Yeah..I know !! Not all churches are teaching the same thing..some years our Pastor did a teaching on the nitty and the gritty and kicked all the children out to the sanctury because the content was not for their ears..and that was over 10 yrs. ago, the subject wasn't taboo. It depends on the Pastor..we can agree to disagree..yet, as an unmarried sister the picture was distracting and unappropriate. I realize that some in the body of Christ have lulled to sleep by the enemy especially when it comes to media advertising and ads..anything that gives a little hint at sex is off limits..can imagine how many men and women will flock to that teaching because they are going to hear about sex without the concern of hearing how to save their marriages and all that goes with it. The enemy is subtle...

Not being mean but, I wonder how many people didn't see anything wrong with the Jack In The Box commerical that was aired on Superbowl day..it's not the outright things that get us..it's the underlying tones that mess us up because we see nothing wrong with.

Just looking at the picture.... The first thing that come to mind is... another sex advertisement. You see a woman with a very very short dress on (most Christian women don't wear dresses that short) with her legs wrapped around a man This site is open to everyone... it have link to "real kids" and "students" , a kid just have to click on the right tag.. and see the picture... They could have been more creative chosing the right picture or drawing...
