Hello precious saints of God and welcome to the Bible Study forum.
I typed out a long intro the other day and promptly lost it as the server went down but basically all i want to say is:
Grace and peace from God our father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is an honour for us to be partakers and co-labourers in this glorious gospel.
Our strength lies in know He who has called us.
In order to know Him we must know His word.
Ever seen a great big tree with gigantic branches?
Well the tree did not just get there what is surety is that the roots have an endless supply of nourishment which in turn causes the plant to flourish and wax strong.
Jesus said He who has seen me has seen the Father.
We are also told that the word became flesh and dwelt among us.
We behold Him in His word. Outside of that we have no nourishment.
The word of God is banquet that has been prepared for us-stop looking for a heavenly banquet it is all right here in that book we call the Bible. ;D
Inside of it contains life and that is what we need more than anything but many times we do not actually get the chance to really soak and meditate in the word.
However with this forum that shall be made possible-if we want it to.
The way the christian walk operates is through a systematic teaching and receiving of the members to one another-cells supplying each other with nutrients.
We fail when we allow one/few persons to bear the brunt of teaching/showing because the quickest way to grow in the Lord is to share what you know.
No matter how little or insignificant-this is not meant to be a place where it is a competition between knowledge and differing school of thoughts.
It is my intention to see us search out the revelation that Father God put behind the word not get caught up in semantics and hermeneutics.
We shall therefore proceed in the direction of: a study is started and we proceed chapter by chapter.
As we exhaust each chapter the mods will act as referee to keep the discussion going. If there is no response or participation then the study will remain as it is
untill some is garnered.
No one is going to be 'the teacher' on here-we all have the Holy Spirit and therefore we all have something to say/contribute.
I believe this approach is the way the Lord will have us believers fellowship and it ensures maximum growth as well.
There are some exciting revelations that I know heaven is waiting to 'birth in us' as the father seeks to draw us into a deeper revelation of His love for us.
I look forward to sipping and dining with you on the feast that is His word.
