This Psalm has various meanings......
One message is that it gives the role of a Shepherd........
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want: it goes on a describes the acts of a Shepherd....

Because the Lord is my shephard
I have everything I need
He lets me rest in the meadows grass
and He leads me beside the quiet stream
He restores my failing help ( or health)
And he helps me do what honors him the most
Thats why I'm safe, Thats why I'm safe
Safe in his arms.

He restore me- when I get a lil weak on the day
He protects- I got to hide in places
and then to do his work, he anoints me, yea, with a fresh anointing
and there's something that he does he fills me- with his precious holy Ghost, so that I can overcome!
He loves me-inspite of who I am, in spite of how i act
he's with me- he said he'll never leave me,nor will he forsake me.
As you can see, thats what this Psalm says to me!

Praise God! Hey Elder Beck, blessings to you on today!
Glory--He (God) is my protector, there's nothing He will not provide as long as I stay obedient to His word!
Well now the shepherd --yes, the one who keeps a "constant" watch over His flock, thank you God! Now as his sheep-I have to be mindful of my position - I can't get caught up with the wrong crowd or indulge in the wrong things...yes we know that sheep mingle together so that they stay safe (under the shepherd's care), it is only when they wander from the flock that they become prey to the enemy whose lurking-seeking-ready to devour...my God didn't mean to go there, yet that was in my spirit.
We often say God is good, and He is, yet we have a duty to uphold in order to benefit from that goodness...can I get an Amen!
My, my, my...he opens doors for me (us), yes...those green pastures, He makes them available so that I'm able to bask in His favor: though storms come, and they will (the older saints will tell you "baby, just keep on living") every now and then He will calm the storm (still waters) and lead me on through it-Glory-Hallelujah!
After He has calmed the storm he begins to restore all that has altered my mind-makes those crooked places straight-so all can see HE IS GOD!
Even when times of darkness comes, I'm yet able to hold onto God's unchanging hand-I don't have any fear bc his word tells me that I will endure affliction but bc I am one of the righteous one -HE shall deliver me out of them all! Praise God!!!!
Oh yes, then He blesses me in the face of adversity! Whew-ain't God good...then He builds me, establishes me until it's evident that it is HIS doing and it's marvelous in my eyes-Thank you God for your anointing power!
He allows me (us) to bask in HIS favor as I (we) continue to dwell in him by allowing HIM to live in the temple He has created for HIS GLORY!!!!
My God! He is so WORTHY!
