SAFELINK WIRELESS® service is a federally supported program for income eligible households provided by TracFone Wireless, Inc.
In order to participate in the SAFELINK WIRELESS® service, persons must meet certain eligibility requirements set by each state where the service is to be provided. These requirements are based on a person’s participation in a state or federally supported program or by meeting the income poverty guidelines as defined by the U.S. Government.
SAFELINK WIRELESS® service is limited to one person per household.
It is currently available to residents in:
* Florida
* Georgia
* Massachusetts
* Tennessee
* Virginia
* New York
It will soon be available to residents in:
* Alabama
* Connecticut
* New Hampshire
* North Carolina
* Delaware
* District of Columbia
* Pennsylvania
Benefits include FREE cellular service, a FREE cell phone, and FREE minutes every month. The service does not cost a thing. There are no contracts, no recurring fees and no monthly charges and any minutes you do not use will roll-over. Features such as caller ID, call waiting and voicemail are also included with the free service.
This could be helpful to those with job loss or relatives on fixed incomes, as long as they qualify.
