Hello Family,
Q: Do you think its okay for Christian/Gospel song writers to write songs for RnB artists? More specifically, love songs for secular artists. Why or why not?

I think it would definitely be an improvement.

Not sure I'm a "fan" of it.....but at the same time, if that's your secular "job"...... then again, y not write love songs for a Christian artist? Bebe and Cece have quite a few and so does Jakes.

I don't see why not as long as they not composmising the Word... the anointing is in the writing that will touch the heart of the world....

As long as the lyrics aren't raunchy or disrespectful or anything. And there are some "secular" love songs that, while not overtly spiritual, do not conflict with biblical principles and refers to God in some portions. I think specifically of "Ribbon in the Sky" by Stevie Wonder and the part that says, "We can't lose with God on our side..."
