reading an extensive dictionary on prophetic terminology ("the prophet's dictionary". have anyone read it by by Paula Price?), there seems to be differences between the two (devils/demons), in which Bill Hamon wrote the forward. Devils are higher in rank than demons. Demons used to identify spirits in connection to false idols/gods while devils have a little more command. is this somewhat accurate though most will say they are the same, just english translations?

Also can demons spiritually give birth, since in bible many gods/godesses gave birth to other gods so to speak which represent ancient spirits? I've heard prophets mention such things.

In which way have you heard of demons giving birth? Can it be backed with scripture? I don't know if I am understanding what it is that you are saying. There is only 1 devil. The devil and demons are not the same. |

I've always considered both terms to be referring to the same thing, but it isn't something that I've studied in great depth.

Yeahhhhhhhh Demons, Devils, Imph's, unclean spirits, whatever you want to call em they are all pretty much the same..............I can't stand em I was attacked by one before right in the middle of church and ended up in the hospital!!!! Why on earth is a demon allowed in the house of God is what I want to know. Oh by the way it wasnt my church that I was at I was visiting another church......Anyway it was messed up and I pray to GOD that I don't have to go through that again.........

LOve Jessica PPL come into the church with demons... or evil spirits. If the leader don't know how to properly bind up these before casing them out, they will attack someone else. Sometime they come out during an high praise and worship and the person with the evil spirit yield to the Holy Spirit. If your mind is not in tune with the service and on dinner after service, you can be attack. I believe they are different... I believe devils/demons have or carry evil spirits. |

The Bible lists the demonic heirarchy in Ephesians 6:12
Principalities
Powers
Rulers of the Darkness of this World
Spiritual Wickedness in high places...
This is the demonic order.
Conversely there is an angelic order as well (Colossians 1:16)
Thrones
Dominions
Principalities
Powers
