Prayer Alert - Hurricane Rita Hurricane Rita, now a category 4 storm, is bearing down on the Gulf Coast. Let's not passively stand and watch this happen. It is time to pray, to stand in faith before the Lord and intercede for this storm to rapidly diminish in strength.
Remember, my friends, Jesus said the church was the "salt of the earth." In ancient times, salt was valuable for many reasons, not the least of which was its preservative qualities. Meat that would otherwise rot and decay, when salted, would be preserved from the organic processes of destruction. In society, we are salt. Our prayer presence can protect and preserve what is otherwise open to destruction. It does not take a lot of salt to do the job.
Thus, let us stand in prayer, let us repent on behalf of our nation, and speak to this storm with the authority of the Redeemer Himself, and let us do so without delay. Francis Frangipane

Amen ASWSOY! I have offered up a prayer of Mercy and have prayed for those who yet have to be moved once again... As I have been hearing and listening to the news/co-workers, etc. I have had somewhat of a peace that has come over me. Yes, I am in the path of the storm maybe not directly but we will get some remnants of it -how much? I really don't know, but I'm yet reminded that God is in control and whatever he allows I am in a place to accept it no if's ands or buts. No I don't wish harm on any city or state but I do realize that God's will shall be done and I do know that with one breath he can blow the storm in another direction and with one word from his mouth he can also calm the winds and the waves so I've elected to stand in a place of faith and hope and realize that his word is being revealed daily and that there are many who still need to heed his word and sometimes it will take drastic measures in order for them to take heed. We serve a loving God and all that he does is because he loves us so much, that he allowed his "ONLY" son to die in our place. amen I thank God for your prayers in advance and pray that all is well with any members here who have family in the coastal area or in the path of the storm-stay prayerful saints...This too shall pass! Love each of you with the love of Christ
