"I would just like to make a quick post about a pastor who visited a church that I used to attend. He preached a good message about waiting for God’s blessings and not doing your own thing. He did an interesting illustration by jumping into the baptismal pool with his gators on. You know it had to be a Word from the Lord for him to get his reptiles wet. Anyway, the time came for his offering and he preached it up asking for the best offering and to please use cash and if you had to use a check to leave the name part blank. By that point I was truly skeptical but I went with the flow since he had been so on point. He asked the congregation to line up in the center aisle in two lines. And then he did something I had never seen before nor have I seen since. He told everyone to bless the peson next to you with the offering. So that day, everybody in the house got blessed and it made quite an impression upon me as I was newly saved. The next time he visited the church, he took the offering and gave the whole thing to a woman that I knew he did not know and that I also knew was about to get evicted from her home. Now I don’t know what that pastor is doing now and what he does as far as his own church is concerned, but I woud like to give a shout out to Pastor Tony Smith in Baltimore Maryland. He really helped to open my eyes about giving to others."
