"Discernment without love is merely critical judgement." - Francis Frangipane
This so called "discernment" steeped in everything but love for one's brother and sister has really got to stop.

And while we're at it, we need to realize that there's no such thing as the "gift of discernment."

Here's my experience
You think you discern something about me. Rather than come to me and tell me what you see and ask me about it, you start a smear campaign. You say you have discernment and you walk in an apostolic anointing and are called to set order. (I'm really trying not to gag as I write this). You never approach me, and you make some pretty wild assumptions and put it all out there in the name of your own self-righteousness.
I can say of a truth...you don't love me and your discernment is nothing more than critical judgement based on lies!!!!
What happened to if you have an aught against your brother...leave your gift at the altar and GO TO YOUR BROTHER! Not start a smear -email campaign!
What happened to love believing the best in ICor 13? How about all your prophesying and such means NOTHING without love!
Discern all you want, unless you approach that brother or sister in love you work in critical judgement and I know that ain't God.
I am so fed up with this self-righteous spirit in the body of Christ! I wanna hurl but find myself in prayer asking God to purify the body!
When I stumbled upon this quote...I could have fallen over because it so accurately stated what I had just experienced.
And to date...this person has not come to me and asked me anything. Still assumes and still judges.
Sit your self-righteous self down and ask God to perfect LOVE in you!
At some point, I may address this with this person but I'd need to calm all the way down so I don't hurt 'em! LOL!

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
Alright Krazee lets hear your take on this... you say there is no gift of discernment....

Right. Discernment OF SPIRITS is a legitimate spiritual gift, but the Bible makes no mention of a "gift of discernment." One who has the gift of discernment of spirits has an acute spiritual ability to identify a particular spirit in operation and how it's operating, and I would also add that that person doesn't assign a spirit to a person just because they don't get along with another person or don't see eye to eye all the time with him/her. Just to simply discern something is nothing more than the ability to make a distinction or a discrimination. You can use your senses for that, or you may have a sharp mind and are able to do this more from a mental standpoint; one can even ask God for a heightened awareness in certain matters (1 Kings 3:11), but none of these constitute a supernatural gift of the Spirit as outlined in 1 Corinthians. Look at Ecclesiastes 8:5 which says, "Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment." This isn't any particular spiritual gift spoken of here; as a matter of fact, I could argue that a wise man spoken of in this context doesn't even necessarily have to be a believer to have such keen discernment. Some abilities just come with time and experience and require no supernatural explanation. Hope I've made some sense here.
