I have heard that eating small portions every three hours is a good way to loose weight and boose your metabolism. I want to be able to try it but with my work and church schedule, it's basically impossible... especially on Sundays. Any suggestions?

When I started my "weight loss" program which resulted in the loss of 30 lbs, this is exactly what I did. I really ate about 6 - 9 meals a day:
breakfast midmorning snack lunch late afternoon snack dinner before bed snack (didn't always do this one though)

And such that is absolutely true. When i was pregnant the doctor told me that even after having the baby I should continue to eat 6-9 small meals a day. It would help me to continue to trim the fat.
Have i followed this..nope. It has been absolutely hard. I try to eat during the day at work, but im sooo busy. Sometimes i find myself now, going all day with out eating.
and I DO like to eat.

well I stayed away from most fruit (alot of sugar in them), drank only water, substituted brown rice for white rice. I drank only water - no diet soda's etc. I stayed away from all sugar for the first 2 weeks and after that I used splenda when sugar was necessary. I ate no breads and ate the right carbs. I have a list of them somewhere I have to find them and post it. I took stairs instead of elevator and went walking for 1/2 hour whenever I could. My meals were 2 - 3 hours apart and they weren't always meals. the snacks were just that - snacks. No fried foods. olive oil when needed. but most importantly a good support group - my 2 best friends at the time.

The biggest adjustment for me was not eating any more bread and sugar. My body craved it for the first 2 weeks - seemed to go into shock- however, my belly fat went down. I had to fight the temptation to grab a candy bar or eat bread just this one time.
I also have a Nutritionist (still do) and she did say that if I get "diet" bread - which is only 40 calories per slice then I can eat one slice for breakfast (toast).
Boiled eggs are good but get rid of the yoke!
