www.calorie-count.com/We just started a few days ago... it's amazing how many calories we (general) eat and how many more servings we eat than just the "one" that you are supposed to........

Wishing you the best of success on your new "adventure". Personally, I always went back to this one and found out that it is possible to be "on a diet" and still be satisfied with the meals because of the possibilities. Plus, as you mentioned, it is also healthier once we know not so much the quantity, but the quality of what we absorb.

I believe i say this weight lost/diet post.
Weight watchers has an awesome book that can be used for calorie counting and portion size servings.
4 oz of meat can be measured to the palm of your hand, 1 cup is = to a small apple. these are the types of things you learn so when you are out in a restaurant or ate home, you will know how to measure your serving size with your eye.
Now im not saying go to join weight watchers, just go get the book! its actually 2 books and 2 counting tools.
