I plan on doing about 1800 calories a day... working out at least 4-5 times a week, drinking plenty of water... always remember not to drink my calories..but eat them... (meaning no calorie drinks)..so flavored water, diet soda 7 juices, and natural water is the thing for me...
Eating at least 6 times a day....because your body will store the fat instead of burning it, if its deprived.. So an avg breakfast will be 2 egg whites, bacon and whole grain muffin.
mid morning snack will be fruits, or the 100 calorie snacks.
Lunch will be a chicken salad with calorie free dressing
mid afternoon snack will be sugar free jello
and dinner will be boneless skinless chicken breast, brown rice, and broccoli with low fat cheese.
desert will be a sugar free pudding!
I will do 2 miles a day on the treadmill, and 50 sit-ups and 50 push-ups. chest presses, and leg squats (3 sets each). My goal is to lose 100 lbs and then maintain a healthy lifestyle from that point on.
BTW I was just looking over my words from last year and I have to thank God for being able to review words from the past, because the words in the thread really blessed me and has pricked my spirit to fight again. Maybe if we keep this thread updated, it can be used as a motivational tool for us while we are on our separate, yet same journey.

Hey I just found this thread!! IN 2007 i KICKED my exercising up a whole other notch and I lost some nifty pounds 20 to be exact. I was more surprised at the 6 inches that I lost. I never thought I was extremely overweight..I am plus size, cause when I look at myself in the mirror...I look good. *smile* Now, I saw a full figure picture of myself and I choked. I didn't even know it was me until I really looked at it. It really didn't look like me..I looked so weighed down, and I was. But That was enough to get me motivated. LOL! I love myself. I don't believe I struggle with self-esteem issues, but that was enough for me to see that the stress in my life, as well as eating habits was NOT working in my favor. I know I will become that size i want..I've seen myself, It's been prophesied, and i was diligently working towards that goal..until..thanksgiving. I fell off the wagon. SO I am getting back up as well..LOL I've skipped going to the gym for the last 2mths. I realized that once you start seeing yourself lose the weight, you can either go one or two ways...One way most people continue to push and push until they've reached the goal..Others go the other way which is..ok I've lost a few..so I can slack off some. I don't want to slack off...I want to make. One thing I have done for this year...is Our Health District, started a get healthy challenge. Its been pretty easy so far. There is a challenge on a weekly basis to eat healthier. They give you some tips, recipes..and etc. Right now its just implementing more fruits and vegetables into your diet..but I saw this post and say hey..if you all want to join the challenge its open to everybody. you can sign up at www.gethealthyclarkcounty.org its a nevada based program and sign up is free. I am praying for your success in 2008.

So true. I stopped drinking soda last year and immediately I felt the difference. My family only drinks crystal light, wylers, and kroger, sugar free drinks. I pretty much drink water, and tea. It's an absolute must that I have 2 cups of tea before I go to sleep. Tea has so many health benefits, but not only that...its a duretic, and aids in losing..excess body water. If we do decide to drink a soda..its because we are celebrating, visiting with friends, or eating pizza.

Ok I had a bran muffin, a 20oz cup of Coffee. (French Vanilla) I skipped lunch. which I tend to do, every day. (not good at all). I got off work at 2:15, rushed home, changed, and went to my son basketball game at 3:00 Its 5:41 and I just ate a bowl of Cereal. Cinnamon Toast crunch I am currently cooking. (Right now as I type): Garlic Chicken with brocolli, carrots, corn and pasta, Orange Chicken & Rice for the family. Well the orange chicken is really for the hubby and the rice, He will eat a whole pot on his own. Just bring some butter and sugar and he can eat rice 24/7 SO...I haven't drank any water..I didn't eat a lunch...I did start out right with my bran muffin and coffee.
