Biginning at age 40, all women should get regular mammagrams to screen for breast cancer.
The power of screening comes with regular exams
because docters can look at previouse mammagrams to study any possible changes.
Early diagnosis and treatment is still the best weapon against almost
all types of cancer.

Would like to add that I was just informed that there is a specific cancer that targets black women, and by the time a mammogram, is needed at the recommendation, the cancer has spread.

I just learned this in a class I attended a couple of weeks ago, and I believe black women are being urged to have mammograms as early as 30 years of age.

Absolutley Jasmine, it doesn't just affect older wemon its afffectin younger wemon as well...
Also Cervical cancer also, I urge every young women to get cervical cancer screaning.... My Sister was just diagnosed a couple a monthes ago with cervical cancer and she's only 30...
She's doing fine the last time I talked to her, it really hits home when its your own family....
