There is this Church I have been attending which has been very stable preaching Jesus crucified and resurrected. It has been very helpful to many people including some who will probably not pass this way again. For the time I have been in this Church the Church’s reputation has grown with leaps and bounds indeed something to sincerely thank God for.
Recently though the church was faced with serious concerns that threatened to break the church. Some things that were happening in the church should not have been allowed. They were injurious; relationships that should not have been encouraged went on unabated. The church allowed people to rise and say whatever they wanted until the church couldn’t take it any more. Sadly these people (saying all these things) were well respected that none could raise a finger. Now we are faced with a possibility of a breaking church. Some leaders never seen or heard before have emerged and the church is being stretched beyond its limits. As a member I really don’t know what my role is or what I ought to do. Would somebody out there please tell me whether I should confront the pastor, or the leaders of the church because of what they have done? Or just what I ought to do before the church breaks?
