Hey peeps, I'mma ask this question. I don't know how many of the singles on here have ever done any online profiles, (there are Christian sites too) but I have snooped around on some.
One of the questions they ask is What is your idea of a Perfect first date?
I thought it would be fun to ask that question here. And maybe a few more, and hopefully get some good responses.
I'll check and see if anybody has done an online dating thread and if not, maybe I'll start one. But for right now let's answer this question.....
What is your idea of the perfect first date.
I used to say CHURCH! Get him in church and see how he does! But not I've changed somewhat. So let's go.

Listen lots Ask innocent leading questions that can be encouraged to reveal their roots and interests. Swallow the inclination to talk about yourself unless they ask. Most people are impressed with others showing more than a 'how are you? What do you do?' interest in them. Resist the urge to make them God's man of faith and power on the first date...not even armor bearer.

THANKS! That's good. I'll keep those in mind when the time comes. I'm glad you responded because I should have invited married people to respond too.

I recently answered this question and below is my response. It's what made me think to start this thread. That there would be instant attraction. That there would be lots of conversation and laughter, getting to know each other. And all the conversation doesn't have to be Jesus Jesus, scripture. It's okay to just talk. If Jesus is really in you, He comes through no matter what you talk about. That I wouldn't be afraid to eat in front of him. :-) or that I (or he) wouldn't have gas! (oopsie! scuse me.) :-D That we would hate for the date to end and look forward to seeing each other again. And that there would be no games and pretense. No trying to play hard to get or pretending not to be interested. But just enjoy it and let it happen. So with the wisdom of Kanyon the conversation it should make for an interesting and fun (hopeully not gassy) evening.
