Today I got to work just after 8:30. I work in a very large federal building with huge parking lots. There are no cameras in the parking lots and not much patrolling of the parking lot at all. The only time you really see them is if they see someone coming to fast through the complex.
When I got to work I did something I shouldn't have done but did anyway. I sat my keys on top of my truck and moved some stuff around in the truck. I told myself I shouldn't put them up there cause I might forget them. After all I had lost a wallet a couple of years ago by sitting it on top of the truck. But I answered myself and said that because I was leaving my driver side door open there's no way I would forget to get my keys.
When time to leave work came at 5:00 I couldn't find my keys. I complained about how I like my purse but stuff sure does get lost in corners in it! So I said, Oh well I'll use my extra set and find the other ones when I get home and have time to dig in my purse. I went to the restroom on the way out of the building and while I was washing my hands I remembered...I left my keys on top of the truck! omg.
All day from 8:40 to 5:06 my keys sat on the roof of my truck in broad open daylight where anybody could have walked up, grabbbed them and driven off in my truck. But God must have let an angel sit on them and hide them, or He must have dared anybody to touch them, or maybe He just allowed every heart to be kind. But He kept my truck out there with the keys on top of it ALL DAY until I got to my truck to drive it home. All day long I never gave my keys a second thought. But God was watching over them and my truck and kept them right where I left them until I got back over 8 hours later. That's enough time to drive to Dallas, Memphis, or Chicago. My little twuck could have been long gone.....BUT GOD....
