There has been so much going on in my life and I just wanted to update my cyber family. <<smile>>
In the beginning of July, we decided that we wanted to get our roof done so we hired a company to do it..they started July 1/2. On the 4th, we went to my mom's house. We weren't plannint on it but around 3:30, decided to drive about 2 hours to get there. We ended up staying the night. When we came back on the 5th, our alamr system in our house was going off.....we didn't know why until we walked in..... we noticed a wet smell in the house and part of our plaster, going towards the floor.....it had rained in our house. Parts of our ceiling was on the floor...puddles of water,...
We called the roofing company, of course it was a holiday AND a weekend so we got no answer. Talked to our insurance company but not much could be done until Monday. We stayed in a hotel for 2 days and then tried to stay at my Nana's house....but with 5 people, that was a little too much. So, from about the 8th of July until now, we've been in a hotel room (2 rooms actually).
One of the first things that my husband said when we first got in the house was "Tell the L-rd thanks"...... The insurance company came through and a lot of our house is going to be remodelled. They gutted a lot of things, they took our clothes to be professionally cleaned and now we're about to be put into a luxury apartment until the work is completed (which will be about 3 months). Although it was a bad situation, God is turning it around for our good.
I did have one break down moment. It had basically rained ALL WEEKEND and I was in the house trying to move some things around and clean some things...... and it started raining again and I was there, watching it literally rain in my house...... I could even see outside from inside my bedroom....... II'm going to be getting the pictures for all the mess so that we can have it in our "memory pile"........
But, TGBTG for the great things that he has done..... Just continue to keep us in prayer as we see what way God is taking us to next.
