Greetings in Jesus name,
Sorry I have been away so long...I'm glad to see that many of you are still here from the original JB board and are fellowshipping with one another.
I am recuperating, having been hit by a bus in October, 2009. I fractured and splintered 11 ribs (my ribs are now held together with steel plates and screws) and broke my scalpula and clavicle, also suffered a head injury. I also have torn ligaments and fractures to both knees. I am extremely grateful that I am still alive.
This has been a tryiing of my faith, and I had been battling sadness and occasional depression from time to time. The difficulty is that I've always been blessed by God to see and to know things before they took place in my life. For a time, I strugged with trusting God, since I couldn't understand why He didn't give me foreknowledge of this taking place.
I know that this sounds self-righteous, but I find myself asking God, "why did you allow this to happen to someone who is living all that they know for Him?, and what is the purpose in all this?. So far, He is silent regarding this. After the accident, I had warred against satan's spirit that tried to hoover around me, whispering that I was going to die soon, and not live out my years, also a spirit of fear. I know that it is a miracle that I'm still alive and I still have tire marks on my back. The driver claimed on his report that He could tell that someone was under the wheels of the bus as he was trying to drive off.
God has assured me that He has many promises that remain to be fulfilled, and that I have not even begun to walk in the ministry He has prepared for my life. I don't even remember the accident. However, just before the accident took place, I was on my way to get pizza, and could feel God's presence in a strong way on me.
For a season, I felt ashamed for engaging in erroneous belief system that accidents like this just don't happen to saints living for God, and questioned if I was really walking in God's will for my life. I know this sounds presumptous, but It is still difficult for me to believe that God would allow this to happen to me. At times, I still struggle with God's ability to protect me from danger, but despite how I feel, He continues to be faithful to me and continues to show himself on my behalf. I know for certain that God is in charge.

I would like to say that its great hearing from you and YES Praise the LORD you are alive and I pray that you get better and stronger each and every day. I fell led to share with you the scripture in II Corinthians 4:17 " This light affliction which is only for a moment worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory " We often dont understand why GOD allows certain things to happen to us. I believe that man of us believe that if we serve the Lord that God will not allow bad things to happen to us. However there are some thing GOD will allow, that as He says He will do which is word ALL THINGS together for our Good... That means the good things AND the bad things that happen. Job didnt understand why God allowed his children to die, his wealth to be stolen, his wife to turn against him and his body to break out with boils. But in the end He received DOUBLE everything that he lost... James one of the disciples was serving the Lord and was killed by Herod. He didnt even make it to Acts 4 Peter and John were beaten several times and praised GOD for the beatings. Paul was shipwrecked three times. bitten by snakes, and one he was stoned and time left for dead outside Lystra becase of his preaching. They tried to kill him and he got up and went RIGHT BACK into the city In fact most of the disciples according to church history except for John the Revelator died gruesome deaths. The word of God tells us that the servant is not greater than the master. The master suffered some things and we will suffer some things. What happened to you is a horrible thing, however what GLORY can the Lord get out of it. If the enemy tried to take you out with a BUS and FAILED you have to ask yourself.. What has GOD placed in you that the enemy is so scared of manifesting in and through you that he would try and take you out ?? And What kind of testimony is GOD setting you up for that will bless you.. bless others and glorify HIM  ? |

Thanks, GDD for allowing God to use you to write such timely words of wisdom and admonition. Thanks for helping me to re-focus what I should be contemplating and seeking the Lord about.
Sometimes we tend to forget what others in scripture, and especially what our Lord and Savior has endured. I had to laugh, because it's hard for me to imagine that God has need of me. When I look at myself, I see nothing but faults and warts! Most of all thanks for your prayers.
My upmost desire is to do damage to satan's kingdom. Thanks Nikkol for co-signing on GDD words...
I was one who believed that if I prayed to be kept under the blood of Jesus, that I would be protected from all dangers "seen and unseen", and that nothing of this magnitude would take
place and that God would warn me of dangers before they occur.
It's humbling for me to know that God is omniscient and doesn't always have to show me everything that takes place. One thing I do know that if Satan really had his way, I wouldn't be here. It's good to know that he doesn't make the final decision and that our life is in God's hand.

Leadinglady.... I wanted to comment to you, but I didn't know how to express the right words in the right way that will bring healing, thanks to GDD... as I was reading your post... I begin to see just how God protected you. I was thinking about a minister I met years ago at my church.. She gave me a book she wrote called "His Beauty For My Ashes" you may heard of her... her name is Tai Ikomi... Her testimony will bless you... If I can order and send you the book, I will... Minister Ikomi is a beautiful person who love the Lord, she has gone through a tragedy, that only God was able to bring her through....
From your original post, this stood out to me... However, just before the accident took place, I was on my way to get pizza, and could feel God's presence in a strong way on me. Could be a sign that God was trying to speak to you? I got this feeling before I got my purse snatched, but didn't want to wait for a ride home.
