We are days away from making history. Please, Please, Please make sure that everyone in your family and extended families are registered voters. Call your family the night before 'the big day' to remind them that on the following day, they must go to cast their vote. Get all the teenagers 18 and older and make sure they get to the polls to vote. Get all the seniors and make sure that they cast their vote, as well.
I received an email on yesterday of which I forwarded to you. The email stated that Michigan (I believe it was Michigan, it could have been another state) is attempting to deprive individuals, who are within foreclosure status, of their right to vote. The email stated that many of these individuals are African American. The enemy is wicked and will do what ever it takes to keep the people oppressed and depressed by the task masters rule. If ever there was a time for the people to pull together -- IT IS NOW!!!
Please encourage your families and friends to put their differences aside and pull together as a people, pull together as a body and MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!
Our country is in a devastating state. It is in trillions of dollars in debt, the unemployment rate is very high, etc. The list can go on and on and on. Lets prove to this country that our people are not lazy, slow, divided, ignorant, etc. Lets prove to them that our men are not all thugs, violent (well, not all of them), thieves, etc...But, they are brilliant, smart, responsible, leaders, etc. Lets prove to our country that our women are not loud, domineering (well, not all of them), and well-fare dependent, etc.But, they are smart, nurturing, loving, kind, generous, giving, etc.
God loves us and made us wonderful in his image. God made us unique. I don't know about you, but I like 'uniqueness'; I like the 'originality'. I don't like wearing the same outfit that everyone has on --- I like to have my own style, my own look, and my own outfit. I don't want a hair style that everyone has -- I like to have my own unique style and look. Again, the list can go on and on. I'm pretty sure that you can think of something that you would like in its original and unique status. Open your eyes and see that God has made you unique and original, the 'chosen one' / the 'original one'. No other group of people have the texture of your skin, no other group of people have the texture of your hair, no other group of people have the image of your fullness (lips, nose, body).
We were taught to believe that our people are ugly -- How could we be ugly when God has made us in the uniqueness of him.
We were taught that our hair is course and ugly -- Yes, it may be course and even nappy ( some a little nappier than others), but it's not ugly. We are the only people who have the ability to straighten our hair one day and wear its original texture the next day. Originality is not ugly, its beautiful.
We were taught to believe that we are lazy and slow --- We are not lazy or slow by nature, look at all the athletes. Our people are Gold medalist in every sport and each event, because we are originals and made in the likeness of God --- it's in our blood. We are fast and swift. For years our people have been beaten and stripped of the opportunity to prove their capability and ability. But, now that opportunity is opening, we can prove our heritage of GREATNESS!!!.
We are not only excellent in sports, but we are also brilliant scientist, mathematicians, entrepreneurs, etc.. Since the birth of America, our people have been deprived of a good education. Many were not taught from the same reading manuals that other groups were taught from, but this doesn't nullify our brilliance. For example, if, for years, you were taught to ride a horse with your face facing the back and you have never seen a horse ridden any other way -- In a race you will lose, because others were taught to ride the horse the correct way. You see, you can't see what's ahead from the back side. But, if you are given the opportunity to learn how to ride the horse the correct way ---YOU WILL HAVE A BETTER CHANCE AT WINNING THE RACE!!!, Why, because its in your blood to be a winner!!
Please know that I am not putting any 'group' of people down. But, it truly hurts me to know that for years our people have been violently oppressed and the uniqueness of their being has been distorted, in order for the other 'groups' to get ahead, supercede, and rule. For so many years we have been looking in the wrong mirror. We have looked at a reflection of failure and inadequacy, because, this is what many have been taught to believe. ------ I want you to close your eyes and in your heart say, 'I am a WINNER', now open your eyes....Get up and go to the nearest mirror and see your reflection as GREATNESS --- Look and see the image of God starring back at you.
PLEASE CAST YOUR VOTE -- THIS IS THE TIME TO LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!!!!
