Interesting.....yet, this is the kind of things that will make MANY churches loose their tax-exempt status...........
Do you (general) think that the pulpit is the place to be discussing politics? (that may be a different question.....not sure anymore....lol)

Interesting.....yet, this is the kind of things that will make MANY churches loose their tax-exempt status........... I think a lot of those "MANY churches" shouldn't be tax exempt in the first place. And I think that free ride is actually over for them. Unfortunately, the coming government changes will probably take out some righteous houses right along with the hustlers and tricksters. Sometimes. Especially in African American congregations. But I think it's important that the speakers who do, are credible in their positions. ROFLOL!!! No worries sis...we'll see. LOLOL!

Deriding one candidate or party is one thing, but it's not the same as endorsing another, and Bryant steered clear of this.

hey I don't they churches should have tax exemptions for anything except for money that they can prove is going to help the poor, down trodden, and members of the congregagtion...
Too many have literally become businesses anyway where they act like the product that they are selling is God...

He may have steered away from it... but based on some of the things he said, if we were to treat him and talk about him in the same way that he talked about Palin........since there are some things that he did that was just as bad, if not worse....... that's my concern.
And so when we think of being in a place by which we are saying what God is saying.... is this what we see as being what God is wanting the ppl to know? Are we now basing our decision off some bad decisions that were made (since we've ALL made bad decisions).
Side Note: I really doubt that no matter who is elected that they will really have much to say...rather their advisors will steer a substantial part of what is done.

Trying to find somewhere to put this info about Palin....so this was the first thread I found: Oh Goodness...LOL first off it was from FOX NEWS... and if those people think she won the debate they clearly have a agenda. Competence should not be rewarded, it should be expected...we should only reward excellence. She was clearly not excellent... She dodged SEVERAL questions and when talking about taxes, she talked about energy, when asked about john McCain's tax record she said she wouldn't answer the question but would rather talk about how she is a avg Joe six pack kinda golly gee girl. Was she competent in the debate..for the most part yes..but shouldn't that be expected from someone who is running for VP of the USA and was in debate camp for 2 weeks heading into the debate?
