Why are you so concern? May be he want a little privacy and get to know the woman without everybody in his business. So it's his way of keeping noisy ppl out.

So what's gonna happen once everybody knows her? Or what's gonna happen after they're on the cover of Ebony or Essence or Jet? She won't be hidden then. So how will he protect her then? It doesn't make sense. He will never be able to keep her from being attacked for being his wife. If it's gonna happen it's gonna happen.

More ppl will purchase the magazines and some wantabehiswife will be jealous and upset, while the rest of us rejoice with the brother. By the time she reach the magazine cover, she will be more than able to protect herself and stand up for herself.

just reminds me of the JB TW marriage. I remember seeing them on TBN after they got married. He was sitting on the edge of his seat looking like he could just eat her up with gravy and Kool Aid. She was sitting there acting like she was scared to talk. Choosing her words so carefully as if not to say the wrong thing. Just no where near like a newlywed. I knew then something was up.

Of Course TW was happy... I would be very happy if I married someone who bailed me out of all my financial trouble too, and invested over a million in my ministry or at the time planned to invest... I'll be more than gravy and kool aid... I'll be the turkey and dressing too.

I believe JB had reason to be nervous... her whole ministry change from single to marrage... she was in transition and very uncomfortable. She probably knew she made a big mistake.. .

It's not a wish against them being happy or him being happy and finally getting what he wants. But when you see certain things they raise a red flag. All the pieces, the little things people have said to him on his show, things he's said, been scared to talk about. He doesn't sound sure.

That's his life ..... everybody make their own bed and sleep with it..

Her being pretty is something that will fade with time. It's not enough to make a marriage. But like I said, most men can't see past their own zippers. They marry the perfect package and then the marriage doesn't last. They are too visual for their own good. And yes that is at least part of the reason for the high divorce rate. What happens after you lose your erection? Exactly. Divorce. It's happeing everywhere. People are getting married for physical attractions. Against the advice and councel of mentors and pastors. Because they think they might as well, and so on and Christian marriages aren't lasting any longer than sinners' marriages.

Is being pretty, a RED FLAG? If he was marrying for look, he would have been married a long time ago. He was surrounded by pretty women every where he went, and many have thrown themselves at him. This lady is special and it is more than being pretty and having a nice body.

I wish them all the best. They should be okay.

Sorry that you're disappointed... Well,..Tyler Perry is still single , you can put him on your wish list ;D

I don't understand where the comments are coming from about the congregation not seeing her, or she being described as pretty, etc... where is this information? It's not in this thread, other than Vin's post making these comments. Was this information in a post that was deleted or a link that has been removed? I'm just trying to understand how this thread turned from what seemed to be rejoicing over our brother in Christ getting married to a whole lot of speculating, nay saying, and just plain old hatin' as they say. What gives?

Well I am not hatin because I honestly couldn't care less about how pretty she is or isn't. The part that I was agreeing with Vin about was keeping it secret (if that is what he really was doing).

People will be people and that means opinionated. No need to even try to understand people's mindset ALL THE TIME. It's just how they see things. But even more important, I wish brother Donnie all the best regardless of what people THINK. Because when you really don't know a person you can only go as far as speaking what you THINK about him or her, even much so how they handle their relationships (and that kind of thinking doesn't really carry that much weight).

To everyone else who questions the situation,

Remember, brother Donnie isn't hear to defend himself in light of people's theories, commentary, and innuendos. So take a chill pill. And please leave JB and TW out of this one.

Maybe hatin' was too strong a word, but my word tell me to rejoice with them that rejoice, and it just seems what started as a thread rejoicing over Donnie's upcoming marriage has turned into something else and I was just wondering where the information came from that the congregation never saw her, or that she was pretty. I don't listen to his show or watch much TBN so maybe that's why I'm just not aware..... In any case, I for one will continue to be happy for him and for her.

Yeah, in a discussion forum people share what they think when the persons talked about are not present, and in light of what their opinions are, sometimes you just can't take it all personal. That's basically what I was saying. You asked, "to forgive you for venting a frustration that is not with donnie but the whole process of men in the church. good grief!" But that's why I think sometimes we got to take a "chill pill" then come back later. I do it all the time. LOL

Whatever. This is some bull.

I've said before on here that the people we discuss are no different than us, the peopel we go to church with or anybody else in the world. Pastor Donnie is no different than any other pastor. The only difference between any of these people and the average joe is their noteriety, and fame. So I used him as an example based on what was posted. Big deal. He's no different than any other single pastor or celebrity.

My comments about him weren't just about what was said about him. I see it, we see it, all the time. We hear it all the time and many won't admit it but they have the same thoughts.
