Does anybody's church honor the Sanctity of Human Life Sunday? If so, what does your church do (looking for ideas)? Roe v Wade was decided on January 22, 1973. The Sunday closest to that date of January 22 is set aside as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. President Ronald Reagan started this back in 1984.
Or, is this something that is only heard in the Caucasian circles? I will be honest, I didn't hear about this particular day until I moved South and only when I began volunteering for a Crisis Pregnancy Center a few years ago. I am looking for a church to attend on January 18 (for this event only). I don't believe my church honors it - though now that I think of it, my pastor has in times past spoken about life in January but I've always related it to being a "New Year" thing.
Anyways, just wanted to know what to expect, as I have never attended a church that actually called the day what it is.
