And those three things are emphasized throughout the whole chapter. I think for women, we are made to be supportive. But in our being supportive, we must be careful of not stepping over those boundaries which before I read the book weren't as clear as they are now. I've been married 11 years and these things are still important to my husband. It also reminds me of something that Jakes said: Even when we're discussing male relationships with female relationships. Male relationships moreso focus on goals/accomplishments. Ie. What you do for a living, what company, etc. While in female conversations are filled with "Are you married?" How many kids do you have?" "Are you dating?" etc. That's in T. D Jakes' book too.... This is funny ;D... I remember reading the first chapter of He motion or He Emotion a few years ago.... |

Hey Guys,
I did a "drive by reading" of this book recently while in a bookstore... I sat down and scanned it for about 45 mins.
I wasn't really that impressed... He states a lot of things that have already been stated before. Also as Christian woman we shouldn't take his advice too much because he does suggest that women have sex with men before marriage...
Sadly it seems as if he leans towards the 3 month rule opposed to the common 3 date rule that is all the rage in places like LA. Basically his message is like this... do have sex with a man too soon... but realize that he's got to have it and you will lose him or he will cheat on you without it....

Kitty Well, just like any group (whether Christian person or not) there are some things that we may not agree with or may be wrong. However, some of the points (besides the sex rule) were pretty good.... |
