Jamie said that he has a personal connection to his character because when he was in college he got hold of some bad drugs and he almost lost his mind. His room mate talked to him for hours at a time because he felt like he was losing it.
It was nothing but the grace of God because I've heard of many people who got hold of some bad weed and never recovered, just lost it all. So he said he was able to draw from that experience when doing this film. I'm looking forward to seeing it next week.
