Would any of you date a person who's in a wheelchair?

Nope.... Now if I was already married and my husband had an accident... I'd deal with it... but starting out. I wouldn't choose this.

One thing to consider is exactly why they are in a wheelchair, how self-sufficient they are, etc. Dealing with a paraplegic is entirely different than dealing with someone afflicted with Lou Gehrig's disease. And when you consider childbearing, that's an entirely different prickly patch to deal with. Obviously able-bodied wives might have more to overcome than able-bodied husbands when it comes to this.

Dating for me means "dating with marriage in mind" so, the questions I would consider for him would be the same as any man:
Is he saved, sanctified, holy ghost filled and fire baptized? (big smile) Is he living out God's purpose and will in his life? Is he healed and free of any emotional/mental/spiritual/financial issues that may hinder his walk with God and our relationship with one another?
Assuming that the answer is yes for those questions, I would then ask myself the following:
Are you really emotionally and mentally able to handle a relationship with a man in this condition? Are you sure you can handle the obvious and not so obvious physical limitations you may encounter? Are you ready to accept the possibility that this man may be limited in how much he can care for you should you yourself need caring for?
If the answer is also yes to those questions, then yes I would consider dating a man in a wheelchair.
