It is true that most religions have strict instructions to follow when it comes to what they can and can't eat. However, as Christians, it does not seem to be the case and we can eat anything since food, for us, doesn't seem any longer to be related to spiritual matters.
However, there is a big trend these days, for most religions to "promote" their own foods and diets in order for people to remain healthy on all levels, body, soul and mind.
That includes things like Bible foods and related teachings on how to improve health and wholeness by following some bible/spiritual diets, there is even one called "Daniel's fast diet" and, of course, all kinds of products being marketed along with the "teachings", like cookbooks and stores where to find the proper ingredients for the diets.
Do you think that there is any truth to those teachings when it comes to christianity, health-wholeness and dietary rules?
"Spiritual Diets
Is there any truth in the saying YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT? Some people think there is a connection between our spiritual beliefs and our choice of foods."
"Choosing Bible Foods:
God's Way of Eating Can Save Your Life!
Science is always one step behind God. Discovering the value of Bible foods is no different.
Over the last decade, the foods that we eat have dominated the headlines.
Everywhere we look, we're reading about how the things we eat can either save our lives, or steal them.
Of course, God already knew this. That's why He left instructions in the Bible for what foods we should enjoy, and which ones we should avoid.
The one question we are all left with is, do we follow our Bibles, or our stomaches?"
