I was recently watching this show. And I was a little leary about it but I decided to check it out. And there was this one girl, Latice Crawford, who sang and you could FEEL GOD....through the tv. (lol) Anyways, we could tell when she was "off" because the song that Donald Lawrence would give her wouldn't have Jesus and you could TELL the difference....
ANyways, they voted her off last week and I missed to see who one this week. Y'Anna and Jessica were ok. But if we were basing it on Annointing, they got rid of the WRONG one....
Just wanted to vent a little. <<smile>>
But all three had nice and unique voices. <<smile>>

Actually, my girl was Jessice, although I loved Latice too. Just the quality of Jessica's voice is simply astounding. She sung "I Surrender All" last night and had BeBe wiping tears from his eyes and Erica got slightly choked up too. Y'Anna won, and she can blow, but I personally would have given it to Jessica. I just LOVE her voice.

I just LOVE her voice. I would've preferred Jessica because her voice is like mine. (LOL). But also we have a LOT of ppl in the entertainment arena of gospel music that can "blow", if you will. I mean the person that one last year was like that. So it's just the same-o same-o. Though I am learning in my "old age" (smile) that I'm really getting tired of ppl doing a lot of riffs and runs. I prefer moreso the straightforward singing without all of that. I mean it's like everyone is starting to sound exactly the same and it's pretty boring.... at least for me. Jessica is a good singer, just didn't "feel" the same way about her as I did Latice.

^I hear you. I actually liked that McClure dude, the one who puts you in the mind of Smokie Norful. He has a good solid voice, and he doesn't do a lot of riffs and runs but he was voted off.

He was nice.... but his voice is definitely moreso one for R&B (no offense). Not sure if it was nerves or the song choice but he didn't really make you "believe" what he was singing..... if that makes sense.

Wow, this goes to show you how subjective music is, because I feel completely opposite. There was one guy who said that he learned to sing by listening to R&B groups like Boys II Men, and I think his voice is more of an R&B voice, but not McClure; he's straight Gospel in my book and I thoroughly enjoyed his song selections.
