AT: God is always fair. We just may not always agree with his decisions.
ASWSOY: It's true that we should never take his grace for granted.

At one of our holy convocations back in 1994 in Philadelphia, I remember our international missionary department president giving her annual address, and she mentioned how at one time she was praying for the salvation of her loved ones, and God did hear her prayers and saved them; however, it seemed that shortly thereafter, they died. She was like, "God, what's going on? Everytime my loved one gets saved, they die." She said that God said, "Well, you did ask me to save them before it was too late, didn't you?" KB, I believe what the missionary said is true. My sister died June 5, 2009. She had cancer. I had been praying for God to save her for more than 20 years. When she was first diagnosed with cancer last year, they put a trachea in her throat. I went to the hospital the night before surgery to pray for her to give her life to Christ. After witnessing to her, again, she told me "NO" that she did not want to give her life to Christ. I knew how sick she was and this really broke my heart. Well, she did at least let me pray for her. God raised her off that bed of affliction and she looked better than any of us had seen her look in years. Her color had returned and she looked healthy. The cancer was in remission and they were going to take the trachea out. Instead of thanking God for raising her up she threw herself a cancer free party! When I heard about it, I could not believe it. Long story short, the cancer came back this year with a vengance and she called me to come pray for her. I know this was God. on April 26, 2009, while in the hospital she had written a 6 page document that she told me was between her and God. She repented and asked the Lord to save her. On June 5th she passed away. She spent her last days reading the bible and getting to know Jesus. Our district missionary helped me to see that God took her while she was ready. I believe with all my heart that's what He did because He knew that she would have gone back into sin like she had the time before when He had raised her up. I am sad that she's gone but I thank God that she was saved and I will see her again! After my sister homegoing, I went to a women convention, I praised God so hard the I busted my beaned skirt wide open in the back LOL... I was so glad it was black like my slip .. When I came home and went to church that Sunday, I fell out in the Spirit, while I lay there I heard my sister calling, she said "Linda Linda, I made it, I made it" my name is Melinda, but she always calls my Linda... I saw her in a vision being dressed in white by angles... I couldn't tell how many angels, but it was more one... This was a confirmation for me, because I wasn't sure that she made it... My heart goes out to you and your family, because I know this is still fresh and healing from losing a love one come with time, even when they are saved and now with the Lord...

I don't think fairness is a biblical concept, so you can't necessarily say that God is fair because like we often say, life isn't fair. However, God IS just.

I just listened to a sermon by Jakes where he made the same statement, God is not fair, but He is just. Example: You try all you know to live a holy acceptable life and yet someone who is in the chruch today, gone tomorrow, back the next day and so forth gets blessed with some material thing before you do. Is that fair? NO.....but eventually, God does bless you with whatever, now that's justice. I know for a fact that I live a more acceptable life for God than some people that I know and they continually get blessed with stuff and I'm still waiting on mine. AND no I don't think it's fair. LOL! But, all I can say is God is God and He blesses whom and when He pleases. One of my friends told me that she was at the wedding of a sister who has just joined the chruch and she couldn't help but think that she had been in the church all that time and was still single and this woman comes right in and gets a husband. She said God told her "He blesses whom He pleases." So in other words get out of His business. LOL
