What y'all know about that good ol' Baptist/Methodist hymn choir with the lined/metered hymn:
This is a rich part of our legacy as African Americans and is the stuff that brought us over!!!

Anybody listened to any of the clips? Or is all y'all know the contemporary spooky hand-swaying slow "worship" stuff or the fast, hand-clapping, "pick 'em up and put 'em down" dancing music or the uber-contemporary stuff from the likes of Mary Mary and Kiki Sheard?

I listened....and listened to some others as well.... I actually like this. I DON'T listen to Mary Mary at all. I appreciate this style....

^Now Mary Mary has some good stuff that's a little more traditional as well, so don't totally disregard all of their stuff. But yeah, these hymn choirs are classic. We can't lose this; it's an integral part of our heritage and history.

That may be true....but in this case, I'm throwing out the baby with the bath water...besides, there are SO many other artists out there that I don't/won't even miss them..... LOL. The older I get, the more old school I become....LOL. It's funny, to me. But it does show me how based on my experiences in ministry, it definitely changes your view on certain things...
