We know that due to the fall, we have to deal with sickness. However,
the Bible says that by Christ's stripes, we are healed. There are promises of healing to be found all throughout scripture. So when saints don't get healed, does this mean that we truly don't desire healing? Is it a lack of faith? What are the causes?
This is one of the misapplications of scripture that I must address. While it is true that God is a healer, most definitely, this scirpture is not referring to physical healing, but the spiritual healing for our sin sick souls. AGAIN this is not to say that God is not a healer, that is NOT what I'm saying.
to answer your question.....Yes
the MAJOR KEY that does hinder a person for not being heal... is FAITH..I disagree with this. Can you please provide scripture that states the MAJOR reason for healing being hindered is a lack of faith? Or if you can't please clarify your statements with "In my opinion" or "I think". Thanks.
GAP I dont agree with your statements regarding that scripture and I will tell you why. It is 100% correct that JESUS does heal our sin sick souls. However when you look at the MINISTRY of JESUS in the earth a LARGE portion of it is PHYSICAL healing.
Matthew 4:23 Healed every disease and sickness
Matthew 8:3, Luke 17:12-14 Healed leprosy
Matthew 8:13 Healed a Centurion's servant
Matthew 8:14-15 Healed Peter's mother-in-law of fever
Matthew 9:6-7 Healed a paralytic
Matthew 9:20-22 Healed a bleeding woman
Luke 8:51-55 Healed Jairus' daughter
Matthew 9:29-30, 20:34, Mark 8:23-25, 10:51-52, John 9:7 Gave sight to blind men
Matthew 12:13 Restored a withered hand
Matthew 17:15-18 Cured a boy of seizures
Mark 7:32-35 Cured a deaf man who could not speak
Luke 7:14-15 Raised a man from the dead
Luke 13:11-13 Healed a crippled woman
Luke 14:2-4 Healed a man of dropsy
Luke 22:50-51 Healed a man's cut ear
John 4:52-53 Healed an official's son
John 5:8-9 Healed a paralyzed man
John 11:43-44 Raised Lazarus from the dead
That a LOT of healing, so I cannot agree with your premise that scripture does not address physical healing as well as spiritual healing.
The proof of which is in the scripture itself
Matt 8:16-17
16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and
healed all that were sick:
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.Matthew declared that JESUS fulfilled Isaiah's prophecy BY healing those who were PHYSICALLY sick.
There are many apologetic sites and those who will argue that this ONLY applies to Spiritual healing, I simply cannot agree with them and the proof for me is that many saints I know who have been healed by GOD believing THIS very scripture.
In fact the first miracle by a disciple after JESUS ressurection was a PHYSICAL healing. Jesus commissioned the disciples to heal the sick. The preached the gospel. cast out demons and healed the sick. The sick were even healed in ways Jesus didnt demonstrate. Peter's shadow healed people. Paul sent articles of clothing and it healed people and demons were cast out... Greater works in HIS name....
So I cant agree there.
NOW in reference to your second statement. What I can share with you is this. FAITH is the crux of EVERYTHING we do as believers. The JUST shall LIVE by FAITH. Without FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to please GOD. We do everything by FAITH and we should do everything by LOVE as well...
I cannot tell you why some people get healed and some people dont. Only GOD knows that. I CAN tell you that faith is a KEY ingredient to ANYTHING we do in this kingdom. I can tell you that a LACK of FAITH can hinder the work of the Lord in your life..
Proof
Mark 6
1 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And
he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
6 And
he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
Now in this scripture a FEW people were healed. When you examine the scriptures and Jesus went other places often times a great MANY people were healed. Here only a few were healed and there were NO mighty works because of their UNBELIEF.
We also have demsontrations in the Word of GOD where people faith ALONE healed them without JESUS active participation.
The woman with the issue of Blood was healed by HER FAITH. Jesus did nothing ACTIVE. He didnt pray. He didnt lay hands. He didnt command the sickness to leave.. yet when she touched him by FAITH virtue left HIM and healer her. And Jesus said to her.. THY FAITH has made thee whole.
There were also the four men who ripped up a roof to get their friend who was lame in to see Jesus. The scripture says when Jesus saw THEIR faith , the man was forgiven and he was healed.
That tells me several things. Some sickness is the result of sin, that we must be forgiven from and then receive healingm but that another topic. It tells me that JESUS sees FAITH and that FAITH is what HE responds to.
Again I cannot tell you why some people are healed and some people are not.
What I can tell you is that FAITH is the crux of EVERYTHING in the Christian walk.
